G’day, coffee mates! Our Owner, Brian, and Head Roaster, Sean, just got back in town from Australia where we competed in GoldenBean, the world’s largest roasting competition. And they brought some BIG, shiny wins back with them!🤩

Lamppost competed with 4 amazing coffees and medaled in 6 different categories, one being gold🥇 and two being silver🥈
On top of that, we won the OVERALL trophy in Small Chain!🏆

We are incredibly proud of our master roaster @seanheartscoffee and so grateful to our amazing producers who we get our best coffees from! Thanks to GoldenBean for putting on this great event each year and bringing recognition to coffees from all over the world!

We hope all of our favorite coffee people are having a great start to the new year! And with the new year comes some new changes for Lamppost.🤩

Starting with…new hours! All of our shops will be closing a little earlier, but we will also be opening an hour earlier company wide. So for you early risers out there, we will be ready to serve you at 6am during the week and 7am on weekends!⛅️ See the exact hours at the bottom of this post.

To celebrate this new change, we are offering our Coffee Club members 50% off all drinks from 6am-7am this coming week, Monday-Friday! (January 5th-9th)

So set your alarms and come see us bright and early!⏰

The Wait Is Over!

All three new Pinkies Out Coffees are available in-store or online! All of them won awards at Golden Bean: The Americas! Stop by one of our shops to try them as a pour over, you won’t be disappointed!

🥈 Black Honey Gesha 🌸 🥭
If this sounds familiar, it’s probably because this is the coffee that Ziah competed with at the US Barista Championship a few months ago! In this most recent competition, it took Silver in the Espresso Category and Bronze in the Experimental Filter Category! This incredible coffee comes from Quindío, Colombia. It’s a Black Honey Thermalshock with tasting notes of Mango, Guava, Cherry Blossom, and Lavender.

🥈 Gesha Washed 🍒 🍊
This coffee took Silver in the Filter Category! It comes from Lempira, Honduras by Producer Nehemias Guevarra who just won first place in the Honduras Cup of Excellence. This coffee is a washed Gesha with a delicious balance of tasing notes Bergamot, Cherry, Orange Zest, and Cola.

🥉 Guava Guanábana 🍊 🌴
This last coffee won Bronze in the Milk Category. It is a Castillo variety from Quindío, Colombia with tasting notes of Guava, Guanábana, and Mandarin Orange! by @lamppost.coffee

Fresh from the Roaster ☕

El Garrote is back and better than ever! With new tasting notes of Fig, Apple, and Black Tea, it comes to us from Santa Barbara, Honduras

Coffee is always changing, from harvest to harvest, and that’s half the fun. Our Head Roaster Sean works closely with every roast to bring out what each batch has to offer, and our latest Lion’s Mane is showing off notes of Orange, Vanilla, and Brown Sugar!

We love coffee so much we had to celebrate it twice in one week! Happy INTERNATIONAL Coffee Day!

We wanted to shout out one of the incredible producers we work with at Lamppost, Ana María Donneys! Ana María is an incredibly talented and knowledgeable producer located in Colombia. She is CEO of 5 farms under the Primitivo umbrella. She and her team have a very science-forward approach to processing and drying the coffees. We love working with her and are so grateful to have her coffees in our store, like the Tropical Ranger.
