To all my girls out there who are thinking about giving up on your dreams, let this be your sign to keep going! I stepped into my very first prelim in the Miss America system a little over two years ago, and it so happened to be Miss Hamilton’s Teen. It truly was a scary and weird day for me since I didn’t know what I was doing, but with the love and encouragement from my sister and her friends I had an amazing first prelim. After I hit that stage for the first time I knew I wanted to keep going. I went after 10 titles in my first prelim season and didn’t win a single one. Yes I was disappointed, but I had to trust in God’s plan. Through all the confusion He made his plans clear for me whenever I won my first prelim the next year. I knew what I was doing and just had so much fun.

Then my third prelim season came around. I went into this year feeling more confident than ever. Prior in April I had hip surgery, recovered, changed talents, competed for 4 titles, re-taught myself my talent from state, competed for 2 titles, re-taught myself my talent from my first ever year in the Miss America organization, and then I competed for the title of Miss Hamilton’s Teen. That day I told myself going in that I’m here not because I want this title, but because I want God’s plan to work for his glory and his glory alone. Sure enough God’s plan worked and his plan was to give me this title. After all the hard work, that countless hours of re-teaching my body had to dance, and the breakdowns God gave me the title that He believed I needed. As Miss Hamilton’s Teen it is my mission to help everyone feel this same level of hope and dedication in their life again.

I was in the room where it happened! Hamilton I’m all yours!!! I cannot wait for this year as your Miss Hamilton’s Teen! I’m so thankful and blessed to be given such a great group of supporters for this wonderful year to come. Ella, let’s go to Miss Alabama’s Teen and Miss Alabama!!! I can’t wait for this year as your teen. Beware there will be a lot of Hamilton to watch and sing together! Hamilton I’m ready to serve with you and help all of us grow together!!! Approximately 4,601 out of 5,223,121 people in the state of Alabama are homeless. Though 4,000 compared to 5 million isn’t much, these people’s needs are. That’s why through my Service Initiative, I See You, I’m creating blessing bags!

Blessing bags are bags filled with toiletries items, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, wet wipes and tissues, new socks, individually packaged snacks, bottled water, and encouragement cards. I will be going out into the communities and giving out these bags myself, along with anyone else who would like to help make a difference!

You can help today by going to my Amazon wish list and purchasing items! Every item will be delivered straight to me and then put together! Any donation, big or small, makes a difference. Help be the reason our homelessness rate goes down and our hope levels rise up higher than ever!!! by @laneybrookehall

I’m so thankful for the opportunity I had today to help with the Wiregrass United Way Kickoff! Today I helped package 60,000 meals for the Wiregrass Area Food Bank! This was such a fun way to serve my community and pour back out into the area that has cared for me my whole life. You never know how much a meal may mean to somebody, so make the time in your schedule this week to help out your local food bank! by @laneybrookehall
