Awo mi hende nan, we’re doing it one more time! A line-up with my favourite people, some fresh 🍗 from the grill, and I’m ready to give some of you a good 👞 sapatu this night. 🁓

This will also be my farewell party as the owner of Garage Noord, cafe and Kanaal 40. It’s been an amazing journey with incredible people and vibrant energy along the way. I want to deeply thank everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with, and I hope to see everyone on the dancefloor on December 9th.

Awooo, the Caribbean BBQ Party is back on May 24th at @garagenoord . We kept you warm during the winter with the Holy dinner, now it’s time to get HOT. Master @lelemacaya is already testing the juicy BBQ. This time we have a well-known new beauty: @bar.bario will be shaking the cocktails, and, of course, delicious biñas by the hottest wineman @sebonsa.ams.

From 17:00 to 22:00, we’ll have food and Caribbean music outside, aka festival style, after that we have a crazy program inside curated by @rozalyyyyy . Domino in Bar40 was a thing so we’re back with @sapatu.blanku and ‘Dog Is My Pilot’
exhibition by Anan Striker & IBB Curaçao.

You can reserve a table( email or dm ), but everything is self-service, so be on time for the BBQ and snacks before they’re finished 🩵☀️ by @lelemacaya

@lelemacaya & @caribbeanbeauty’s CARIBBEAN BBQ PARTY baby 🩵🏝️

Growing up Caribbean means ‘gezelligheid’, food, Soca & Calypso and processing your drunk uncle’s view of the world. We both noticed a lack of the lovely Caribbean feeling in the spaces we visit. It’s almost impossible to just grab a ‘pastechi’ somewhere (Antillean stuffed pastry with endless options) or a ‘kroket di karni’. And let’s not even start about the ‘Bubbling ban’ last Summer Carnival in Rotterdam.

SO we decided to bring you the Caribbean cookout at @Garagenoord bby.
Pastechi and kroket di karni by @l.atisharsna, @lelemacaya BBQ (also vega options), Calypso & Soca by the beautiful DJ’s and whiskey Cocorico.

Amsterdam wouldn’t be Amsterdam if we didn’t squeeze in a way to include natural wine, so of course @sebonsa.ams will be serving the juiciest juice.

Blessings to have the sun out, the weather forecast is looking HOT.

ps. everybody’s invited! There’s a reservation link in our bio if you want to have a table x 🩵
