3 years ago my life was forever altered when I uncovered an affair in my marriage. Finding myself in my 30’s as a divorced, single mom, that co-parents is a journey I never imagined i’d embark on but it has been the catalyst for deep healing and growth. I’ve been sharing the journey on @beachykefer and the @letsgrowthroughit podcast since in hopes that it will help others on their healing journey.

👸The QUEEN of starting over…or as I like to call it, starting from experience! Recreating yourself, your career, your idea of family, relationships and friendships can be scary, but it can also be so rewarding. Letting go of what no longer serves you sucks…until it doesn’t! Life throws us all curve balls, bumps in the roads, and sometimes it burns all your hopes, dreams and plans to the mf ground. The one thing you always have is YOU, your mindset and the capability to take the next best step for you in each moment.

I’m currently in what feels like my 20th rebrand of life and with each rebrand I learn a little more, I grow a little more, I let go a little more, and I feel a little closer to my most authentic ME! And as much as I LOVE Noah & this song, just know that as long as you stay on earth, you CAN keep on starting over! And in fact, I highly recommend it 🤗 by @letsgrowthroughit

Happy Freedom anniversary month to me! 🤗 🥳 The last 4 years have been the deepest healing years of my life. I’ve found more peace, purpose and happiness than I ever imagined possible. I mark this time of year as a celebration of finding my way back to me! The woman in the last clip thought finding out her husband had been cheating on her for an entire year was the WORST thing that ever happened to her. The woman that I am today wraps that part of me up in loving and safe arms and knows all the reason why it was “the BEST worst thing that ever happened to me.” 💕 there is so much happiness and life on the other side of divorce and betrayal and as a single woman & mom. Just your friendly reminder that sometimes the worst thing that ever happened to you ends up being the BEST worst thing that ever happened to you.

You most likely won’t feel this way over night but with time, healing and growth, one day you will wake up with a huge perspective shift and realize that life, and your heart breaking, is really happening for you.

This season on the podcast every month there is a Book Club episode! While most of the books I recommend will be non-fiction, this month I decided to sprinkle in a fiction book!

While healing is important, so is finding joy. Reading fiction books can provide a way to enjoy life amidst challenges. This months book rec is a romantasy series called The Plated Prisoners.

The loneliest I’ve ever felt in my entire life was the last year of my marriage and the reason why is because I COMPLETELY ABANDONED MYSELF in an effort to save a relationship with a man who clearly didn’t love or respect me.

I spent the last few years reconnecting with me, healing my inner child, unlearning a lifetime of unhealthy patterns, taking myself on solo adventures & dates and ultimately all that has led me to loving and respecting myself in a way I never have before.

The saying “you can’t be lonely if you like the person you’re alone with.” is so true. And it’s likely that after a divorce or a big break-up you won’t like what you find there. But I’d like to encourage you to sit with yourself, even if it hurts, and work on healing the parts of you that you always hoped a partner would come to your rescue to heal.
