Accountability isn’t just about checking off a to-do list.

It’s about the quiet moments where you catch your mindset shifting and actively choosing a better standard.

Growth isn’t always a massive change all at once.

Most of the time, it’s just choosing discipline over convenience especially when no one is watching.

Showing up consistently for the standard you set for yourself is where real confidence is built.

I met a intuitive medium a few years ago.
She knew more about me then most.
Like real life incidents that happened in my life that she wouldn't have been able to find on google.

Something happend, I can't explain it.
But what she said to me was, you're not ready.

That hit me.

Accountability is having that exact moment of clarity of wanting a new standard for myself.

I have to be ready to hear it till it actually makes a impact in my life.

It's time, I'm ready.
My nervous system needs to chill.
My physical body is literally telling me enough is enough.

As I kept replaying you're not ready in my head for years, I've been patiently waiting for this giant moment.

What I've really been waiting for is discipline.
To be kinder to myself.
Stop blaming my circumstances.

Remember, you make the choices.

The only thing I can do is work on it, work on me. by @lifewith.allisonbooth

We’ve all been there.

Our guest walks through the door, and the very first words out of our mouth are, "Are we doing the usual today?" or "So how was the cut last time?"

Stop. Hit pause. ✋

When you jump straight into the transaction, you make it about the service.

When you lead with human connection, you make it about the experience.

Your guest just spent 45 minutes fighting traffic, rushing from a chaotic workday, or juggling life's million moving parts.

The last thing they need is to instantly transition from running their life to even thinking or performing a consultation.

Welcome them like a cherished friend walking into your home.
Let them take a breath. (I'm sure you could use it to.)
Acknowledge them.
Offer them a beverage.
Give them a moment to land.
And then welcome them back.

Has that ever happened to you?
I went to the nail salon a few days ago.
They rushed me back to the chair.
They asked "Color?" I said black. They said "How long?" I said "Shorter."
Guess what I got?

Long black nails with a design I didnt ask for but I had to pay for.

A guest feels genuinely seen, safe, and valued the second they cross your path by how we first start our conversation.

"Are you ready Mindy?" (Asks permission and makes it about them.)
"Lets head on back, oh I love your shoes." (Because what women doesn't like a compliment?)
"How was your trip to Nashville for your birthday?" (I remember a key point about last visit. I care.)

The consultation that follows isn't a rushed agreement or transactional, it's collaborative, trusting, and next-level.

Because of one simple thing, you listened and navigated the energy they needed.

If your experience garuntees a relaxing environment where guests feel heard, seen, and welcomed.

Give it to them every step of the way.

Let's raise the standard of how we host in the beauty biz. 🖤 by @lifewith.allisonbooth

If you asked me....

Now I want to open a coffee & cafe shop in Perkasie.
I want to do yoga as a daily practice.
I'd love to open a boho clothing store with plus size in Doylestown.
I want to coach and help other women business owners.
I still love doing hair.

But I also want more simple.

The struggle is real!

How does a creative shut the creative off.

How does a business owner not walk into another business thinking hmmmm....

This never ending brain is always thinking.

The only time it's still, is in the garden.

Maybe I need to build more gardens...

Hmmmm! taken in Bucks County by @lifewith.allisonbooth

Wow college, one stepping into year three, one stepping into day one. You know in true Allison fashion it only required alittle vulnerability.

If I’ve learned anything it’s that the prettiest, polished moments aren’t where character is built. It’s built in the gritty, uncomfortable parts.

Everyone talks about sending your kids off with advice about chasing dreams and staying focused. But as someone who has navigated life and running a business, here’s the truth I actually hope they learn:

You are going to fail. And that’s okay. Failure isn’t the opposite of success; it’s just feedback, a lesson learned.

You will be wrong. Often. Own it, adapt, and keep moving.

You won’t always get the praise and support your looking for. You have to learn to be your own cheerleader, get out of your own head and be kind to yourself.

People will speak to you in ways you never expected. Keep your composure, hold your head high, and don't lower your standards.

At times you will feel broke, financially or emotionally. It forces a resourcefulness you didn’t know you had.

You’ll make sacrifices. Time away from people you love is often the price of long-term growth.

Hard conversations are mandatory. Avoidance is easy, real progress requires tough talks.

Be vulnerable, even when it’s scary. The relief you get from taking it off your chest and the ability to connect with people who matter, is far more valuable.

Above all, I hope you learn the quiet power of showing up for others!
How you lift people up in their hard moments will define you far more than any title ever will.

People are going to have something to say about you. Let them. You're out there failing forward, learning, taking risks, and doing the exact things everyone else is too afraid to do.

So proud of you both. Go make mistakes... I'll be here when you need me!

Love you! taken in Perkasie, Pennsylvania by @lifewith.allisonbooth

Build something so aligned that just being yourself is your entire marketing strategy.

Look, if I had tried to build a business based on what everyone else was doing, we wouldn't be where we are today.

I’m not a “beige aesthetic” girl. That’s just not me. (And that's ok)

Give me bold colors. Give me crisp black and white. Fill the space with green plants, make it airy, give me art, and make it different. Give me high energy, because that’s what makes me feel alive and thriving.

In the beginning, it’s so easy to think you have to fit a certain mold to be successful.

But if I had built a business that wasn't authentically aligned with who I am, my nervous system would have been completely out of whack.

Trying to perform as someone else is exhausting, and it’s a direct route to burnout.

When you stop trying to blend in and start leaning into what actually lights you up, your business changes.

You don't have to "sell" as hard because your organic energy does the heavy lifting for you.

Build a space, a brand, and a life that feels like home to you. The right people will find you, and you’ll actually enjoy the ride. 🖤🌿

Perspective changes everything.

It’s easy to get caught up in the daily title. The "what" of what we do.

Somewhere between anxiety and frustration our choice of words and energy towards whatever we're speaking of can get messy.

We aren't just clocking in, just doing hair, or I have to work.

If I spoke like this all the time, can you imagine what type of salon and team members I would have?

No one would care.

But when you shift your focus to the "why," the entire energy changes.

We’re building a community, serving others, building experiences, and inspiring others every single day.

We get to do this.
We get to have guests who choose us.
We get to help our teams grow.
We get to experience life.

How we speak about what we do defines how we show up.

That grateful energy doesn't lie.

Choose growth and connections over just doing the job.

Doing the job feels heavy.
Making someone's day feels like a win!

Are you ready to be a stronger leader? I know it's summer but it's a great time to read a great book and connect with industry leaders like you!

Truthfully it's a great time to reconnect with yourself.

We have a leadership mastermind starting in August! Dm @124go and get the details! taken in New York City by @lifewith.allisonbooth

For years we've been trying to host a sister brand who aligns with SiMPLEE U and our main product and color line Keune.

But always within a few years those brands go, what I call Mass Market.

What does that mean, they start working with Loreal essentially. Loreal owns approximately 47% of the beauty industry!

When you get in business with Loreal, it changes the mission of those brands.

As a small business, it's already hard enough to sell retail. Your competing with every store any man or women walks into.

Between Ulta, Sophora, the food stores, pharmacies and even clothing stores. On top of that the points systems and discounts they give the customers.

Fun fact: small business owners get it at a much higher price then those big box stores. The bigger your store, the less you pay. They bulk buy! While us small businesses can only afford to purchase a few at a time.

This leaves the professionals, the stylists, the estheticians and any service provider in the beauty industry at an already high disadvantage.

When we had found out Kevin Murphy had made the switch, our hearts broke alittle. Another brand had walked the bridge.

But the funny thing is, not matter what line we ever hosted, Keune has always been there.

Keune is family owned and operated for over 100 years! They have always been a company of high standards and quality. After working with them for nearly 16 years, they have stood by our side and helped us navigate the market struggles, helped us grow, and continue to have solid relationships and friendships with everyone in the Keune family!

They are finally making the big splash into the U.S. market they have worked so hard for!

When you pick up a Keune product it's like hugging a best friend. They are reliable, good to you, you forgot how much you loved them until you see them again, and damn, they always show up with integrity from their products to their hair color.

Not only are we a fan, but they are apart of what makes SiMPLEE U your happy place, they are friends and family! by @lifewith.allisonbooth
