There are so many reasons I love my job. But lately, it’s become even more obvious to me that the way you feel when you leave is one of the best parts. 🤍

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of making someone feel more like themselves. Of creating a space where you can exhale, feel safe and comfortable, talk about whatever’s on your mind, laugh, vent, vibe, or just be.

And hearing that you feel it too — that you feel seen, that you appreciate the space we’ve created, that you love what I’ve done and that I’m giving you what you hoped for — is truly the highest compliment.

While I do love just doing hair, this job has never been about just hair for me. It’s about connection. It’s about giving you a little piece of your own energy back when you need it.

Thank you for choosing me.

Thank you for sharing your stories and your energy with me.

WE’VE MOVED! 🎉
📍 New Location

I’m still operating as Limelight, but the salon space itself is now called Fern. Rhiannon and I collaborated to create this new home together, and since we were building something new, it felt right to give the space its own identity.

Fern is everything I’ve always loved about Limelight, just with even more intention behind it. My hope is that every person who walks through these doors feels comfortable being themselves, inspired to become anything they imagine, and leaves feeling their absolute best.

I’m not making any major changes to my schedule, services, or the way I operate right now. But this new space has already given me something I didn’t realize I was missing: room to breathe.

I feel more grounded, more inspired, and more connected to the stylist and business owner I always wanted to be. Everything here just feels… right.

Thank you for following me through every chapter and for supporting me along the way. It means more than you know. I can’t wait for you to experience Fern, and I hope you love it as much as I do. 🪴✨

✨It’s all happening✨

I keep saying this quote from Almost Famous in my head, cuz it’s the vibes!! Iykyk…

You saw the announcement, maybe saw that we’re having a moving sale… no moving date, no details, no inspirations from me. 🤭
Here’s some info:

🚪Moving is happening currently, we’ll be operational in the new space once inspections are finished and we have enough of our stuff there! Out of Main Street by August!

🧾Moving sale is happening July 25th and 26th (on Main Street). 4 families and stuff from our Main Street location! Retail deals, smoke shop deals, furniture, salon equipment, etc! Also there’s a sidewalk sale throughout Main Street Saturday, so come hang downtown a bit!

✨As for inspiration from me, you’ll have to wait for posts on that till I settle a little, but I’ll share a little of where I’m at!
🤪Firstly, moving is a lot so I’m busy!🤣 but even in the chaos of moving and combining dreams with another human, I already feel it!
🕊️The shift with this new space is an opening, a coming together, and a welcoming home. I feel the space and inspiration I need do the best work I seek to do, for you!
🐌I’m a slow and steady kinda girl, so keep watching to see the shifts unfold, there won’t be any concrete menu or service changes immediately from me, but I bet you’ll feel it right away too!
It’s a new space, a new chapter and a new experience but it’s still us, just better😉

✨To my clients✨

I don’t know how to truly express how grateful I am for you and how important you all are to me. In a general sense because I get to do this amazing job, that both makes me happy and supports my family.
But also for each of you individually for making me a part of your life.
🕰️For staying with me for YEARS.
🛣️For driving literal HOURS to sit in my chair.
🎉For including me in your celebrations.
💔For sharing your grief.

There are millions of stylists out there, someone for everyone, and I could never satisfy everyone, but I am infinitely grateful that you’ve chosen me. I hope what I do and how I show up for you is worthy of that choice💚

I don’t know I’ll ever be able to fully express this or return the sentiment but for now I hope you know that I appreciate you and I know it’s a choice to sit with me and that it is extra effort for many of you to get to my chair.

✨ Something beautiful is coming… ✨

I knew 7 years ago when I finally got Rhiannon to come to Limelight it would be the start of something special.
After many conversations, changes, lots of dreaming, and months of planning, we are combining our businesses and relocating to create something truly special.

This isn’t just a new location, it’s a new experience. A thoughtfully designed space where creativity, relaxation, and community come together. We’re building a space that feels warm, welcoming, and inspiring from the moment you walk through the door. Don’t worry, it’s still us, our style and allll the vibes, but with a fresh outlook and new partnership!

We can’t wait to share more with you over the coming weeks, including sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes progress, and our official opening date.

Biggest compliment ever is doing another dreadlock artist’s maintenance 🥹🫶🏻

Always a good time getting my hands in this crazy head of hair! Kayla has absolutely beautiful dreadlocks that she does “nothing” other than bi yearly maintenance and some separating 😉

Takes me about 2 1/2 hours which doesn’t feel like nearly enough time to catch up 🤣❤️ so good to see you @limelightstudiollc ✨

Just a little shot of what it looks like before and after crocheting!

Also I’ve been reliving my youth with some of this heavier music lately, anyone else go through a metal/screamo phase in high school? My hubs was in a metal band, a few of them actually, so we were in the scene for a while🤘🏼

Another fun fact is that I barter with this family for hair appointments! I love being able to do this!🤩
