We believe in the magic of a story shared. The kind that nurtures curiosity, connection and a lifelong love of learning. Every Little Book Press book you purchase – to read or to gift – helps bring that same joy to 65,000 children and families each year. Together, we’re growing little readers, with proceeds supporting early language and literacy initiatives across Australia. __ Illustration from Ray by Sarah Zweck. Dark blue text on a white background reads: When you choose a Little Book Press book, you’re helping stories reach the hands of Australian children and families. The Little Book Press logo sits above the text. And along the bottom is an illustration of five children balancing on a wall. The grass creeps up and a Dachshund watches on. by @littlebookpress

Perfect for curious minds and shared giggles, Shapes in Disguise is a delightfully unexpected adventure through the eyes of Circle and Square! 👀 Written by Penny Harrison in delightfully catchy rhyme, and with bold and playful illustrations by Zac Fay, this book invites little ones to spot simple shapes in the world around them. An extra-special detail: although this may look like a regular picture book, the internal pages are printed on a very thick card (250gsm for the paper nerds out there!) that’s perfect for little hands. This book is more than meets the eye! Shapes in Disguise hits shelves in November. Preorder now at Little Book Press! by @littlebookpress

INVISIBLE DOGS cover process. @littlebookpress @kiahthomas First pass was pretty close but our girls expression was just a bit too much. Tried this sweeter, softer pose which I like but it didn’t quite capture the fun vibe of the story. Eased up the expression and there she is. Colour rough in procreate. I decided I wanted the grass to be more blue though as I want that green to come in later in the story to represent something. Transferred the line drawing onto watercolour paper with a light box and coloured pencils then got to painting. Adding little details now with coloured pencil. Taking off that tape which is so satisfying. I then drew Charlie in procreate so we could have it on a separate layer and use a lovely orange Pantone to really make the good boy pop. Played with a few fonts but nothing was working. So just hand drew the type like I did with Two Turtles. Getting there. Wobbley warped it a bit to fit the space better and make it more playful and voila! The final cover. Terrance approves by @littlebookpress

But best friends have a funny way of helping you find exactly what you need. Invisible Dogs is on shelves late October. Pre-order now from Little Book Press. by @littlebookpress
