On Monday night, 16 winners were crowned at the 2026 @beinclusivehospitality Spotlight Awards.

What an absolute honour and privilege to call this work.

Throughout my career, making a tangible impact has always been really important to me.

I could never have imagined that my impact would evolve from saving companies millions through procurement to supporting the wonderfully talented people in the UK hospitality industry through recognition, celebration and visibility, in such a personal way.

It was an emotional evening for so many reasons, and I cried three times.🥹

There is so much more to say, but for now, whilst I recover, thank you to our community, sponsors, partners, judges and team.

Good hospitality is never just about the food.

A little over a week ago, I had the pleasure of judging the @ubereats_uk Restaurant Awards for the fifth year.

It’s one of the few industry awards I judge where I get to hear the stories behind the businesses, learn about their journeys and taste their food.

I often talk about my love of food, so this was a very good day!!

The deserving winner was @jinseonkbbq based in the West Midlands. Their food was divine, but what stayed with me was the story behind the business.

Good hospitality is also about perseverance, community and, sometimes, family. Jinseon had all of this in abundance.

I loved judging alongside @edgamblecomedy @seemagetsbaked , Merve Basci (Uber GM), @eatingwithtod
and Chris Riley from @silvers_deli

Congratulations to the Jinseon team – a well-deserved win and a reminder of what makes hospitality special.

6 Priorities, 1 Direction ✨

On Monday, we launched Better Hospitality, our sixth research project — and I think it’s our best report yet.

Employee experiences, employer expertise and case studies come together to shape six priorities for a fairer, stronger and more inclusive hospitality sector, with a focus on race and ethnicity.

The case studies show action already underway. Ongoing work, shared learning and continuous improvement.

It doesn’t stop with research.

We’re inviting hospitality businesses of all sizes to turn commitment into action through our signatory commitment, cross-company collaboration, information sharing, roundtables and workshops.
