FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 🙋‍♂️ I get on a regular basis from potential clients.

#1 - Where I’m gigging depends on the weekend and the season! May & June are big for School Events & Weddings, but the Summer & Fall are prime for late night clubs & bars. I lockdown residences @citycruises with the Spirit of Norfolk and frequently visit venues at the Oceanfront, Shore Drive, & Downtown Norfolk!

#2 - I work with a wonderful booking team at both @astroeventcompany & @wearetheartistalliance . Corporate events and weddings are primarily booked through Astro, while venue buyers can go directly to Artist Alliance. I reserve special offers for close family and friends through my own LLC, but whatever the occasion, I have the team in place to ensure quality and professionalism! #3 - Price points are negotiated through the booking teams and are also dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to location, equipment, duration of event, and date(s).

DJ SERVICES - In an ever-growing market of DJ’s, the things that separate my quality from others is my knowledge of music, personality, mixing ability, and event customization. I like the journey of getting to know my clients, and feeling part of the community during the time of the event. Don’t believe me, schedule a consultation and find out 😉

MC SERVICES - An MC (Master of Ceremonies) is a person who oversees the flow of an event, ensuring that everything runs smoothly, engages the audience, and helps create a positive atmosphere. In this role, I oversee the flow of an event, working closely with event coordinators. I am responsible for introducing speakers/performers, and above all else, my job is to keep the Audience Engaged

STUDIO / RECORDING SERVICES through @frequencyva - I am able to offer studio time, with accessibility to a fully equipped recording studio. I can serve as an audio engineer, music producer, or voiceover recorder, all depending on your audio needs.

RENTAL SERVICES- rather its’ PA systems/monitors, microphones, or mixing consoles, DJ Lou Dawg in partnership with @questdawgsva have got you covered. taken in Virginia by @loudawgent

26 - A Birthday Prayer

Lord, I thank you for another trip around the sun.

You have relentlessly pursued me, even when I have ran from you. I know I’m not deserving of you, but yet you still grant me the opportunity to draw closer to you as the years go by.

I thank you endlessly for the flock that you have placed around me, and more importantly, have entrusted me with. I ask that you continue to use me, and allow me be an answered prayer to whom ever you send my direction.

Lord, even I become guilty at misunderstanding what it means to serve you. I get frustrated. I get lost. I get it wrong, and I get so tired. Nobody sees the what the lonely nights and the early mornings are like. At times it feels like no one can comprehend what it feels like when I can’t move another step, but you do.

You have been my help, my refuge, and shelter. For it is by your grace and your grace alone that I am what I am. Today, after 26 years, I think I’m finally starting to understand what it truly means.

Thank you for the days behind me, and I praise you in advance for what is to come in the days ahead.

Back in the Fall 🍂, I had the ABSOLUTE PLEASURE of DJ-ing the wedding of these two superstars ✨. Mack, I met back in high school chorus, and Kegan I met on the high school football team (I was all over the place back then 🤣). NEVER, would I have thought that over a decade later, I would have the honor of being with these two on their special day 💍.

Nine years ago when I started this, becoming a wedding dj was something I did not foresee, yet HERE WE ARE! Dozens of weddings later and projected to have a MAJOR year; I am truly grateful.

Sharing moments with strangers, close friends, and people who I may have grown apart from through the years is a blessing I will never take for granted.

Big shoutout to my guy @hookedupbeats & @frequencyva for the video production 📹, and of course a very special thank you to the Lovetts for allowing me to be part of something so sentimental.

2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ - What a Year……..

As I reflect, there’s a lot of takeaways I have from this year. Although I am definitely still shuffling through my quarter life crisis, there are so many things I am still grateful for. I accomplished many great things throughout this year; it did not come without it’s challenges by any means. Social media does a great job of only promoting what’s good, but I would like to take a moment to be totally honest about the losses I took this year as well to show folks that there’s duality to it all.

Wins for the Year 🏆

✅- Networking / interacting with some of the most influential people in the city of VA Beach
✅ - Serving people on the day of some of the most memorable events of their lives
✅ - Educating hundreds of students , creating opportunities for them to see themselves for their truest potential
✅ - Listening to GOD and establishing a small group for young adult men in community (arguably the most important for me)

Losses for the Year 😔

❌ - My least consistent year in the gym since 2020, and also my least consistent year pertaining to my diet
❌ - Resorting to unhealthy patterns during times of stress, abandoning fundamental parts of my belief system
❌ - Neglecting rest, chasing after productivity and money rather than purpose and fulfillment, especially after a big financial hit i took earlier in the year 🥲
❌ - Chasing so many things at once, it had people questioning my capabilities, which ultimately led me to want to appease them more than I wanted to appease God.

This year showed me quantity, but next year for me will be about quality. The biggest lesson I had to learn this year is that you will never be able to handle / steward more, if you’re sloppy and ungrateful for what you already have now.

This is your reminder to keep growing and moving. One day, one step, one year at a time.
