Got to see friends and make new ones. Thank you @otrabicycles for having my bike dialed and coming out to support me! Had such a fun weekend with the family. Even got my uncle to come out and race! Rider Spotlight // Meet Maddie Torres

At just 14 years old, Maddie Torres of Vail, Arizona, is already making a name for herself in the gravel racing scene.

Maddie’s cycling journey began on the mountain bike trails, racing in the ACA and MBAA series before taking on a new challenge and transitioning to gravel racing two years ago. It didn’t take long for her talent to shine. In her first season of gravel racing, Maddie captured the Under-29 Arizona Gravel Series Championship. This year, she’s continued her impressive rise, earning the BWR Quad-Tripel Crown in the 18U division and recently finishing 3rd in the 18U category on the demanding 108-mile Black Course at SBT GRVL.

But for Maddie, racing is about more than results.

One event she’s especially excited to return to is Village Gravel.

“Village Gravel has everything I love about this sport. The scenery is beautiful, the atmosphere is so welcoming, and there are always fun events that bring everyone together. It’s one of those races that reminds me why I love gravel racing, and I can’t wait to be back on the start line.”

While she loves the competition, it’s the adventure, friendships, and community that keep her coming back. Maddie embodies everything that’s great about gravel racing—pushing her limits while embracing the people and experiences that make the sport so special.

We’re excited to welcome Maddie back to Flagstaff this August and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes on race day. by @maddventures16

I am so grateful for the opportunity to race @sbtgrvl today, and be part of the 2026 Junior Scholarship Program. Thank you so much to @amymcharity & @rsteers ! This was such a surreal weekend and I had so much fun! I got 🥉 in the 18U-108 miles black course! Thankfully Coach @relentlessaa had me as prepared as I could be!! Thank you @alexeyvermeulen for your time, letting me hold @sirwilliethewiener, and gift! I’ve met so many amazing people and made new friends. Hope I get to come back next year….. or stay here forever!! 😉 taken in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, USA by @maddventures16
