My heart is full and I can finally take a beat because Dinner at Dusk Polo Classic is officially buttoned up. 🤍 I’m truly grateful to each and every person that showed up and supported this year—at any level. Pulling off an event in Atlanta is no small feat… there’s always something happening on the same day. But I’m a firm believer that the people who were supposed to be there, were there—and together we created something truly special. This year, we were intentional. We showed up not just for a good time, but for a greater purpose—raising funds for our scholars, supporting our adopted school, and establishing a new scholarship for the Class of 2026. Our goal was $20,000… and we exceeded it. 🙌🏾 A special thank you to two of our incredible honorees, @delphinebryant and @eddybenoit, for each contributing $5,000 and helping us push the mission forward in a major way. The wrap up… I gave it to God this year. I asked Him to align the right people to help me help others—and He did just that. Because when resources meet funding, real impact happens. Thanks @iammichellefalconer for rallying the crowd. And we’re just getting started. ✨ #DinnerAtDusk #PowerOfOne #PartyWithAPurpose 📷 @firegroupatl by @majasly

🍂💰 We’re shaking TREES all November long, and I’m finding ALL the money to share with y’all! 🤑🏡 Atlanta homebuyers, there are THOUSANDS of dollars in down payment assistance available, and I’m making sure you know where to find it! Multiple programs. Real money. Real opportunities to become a homeowner! 💻 I’ve broken down the programs and dollar amounts on my website. Go read the news! 🔗 theslyteam.com #AtlantaRealEstate #DownPaymentAssistance #AtlantaHomebuyers #TheSlyTeam #Homeownership by @majasly
There are something’s that happen to you that change you. It’s been 40 years today since everything inside me became rewired. I didn’t have the language for it at the time nor did I even realize it would reshape me, but it did. I would no longer be a child with the ability to make too many mistakes because life in that very moment showed me that poverty doesn’t give you a safety net. I was never given the chance to grieve. There wouldn’t be many tears because there was no one there to wipe them away. My Grandmother was too broken in her own grief to hold me and tell me everything would be okay. She couldn’t because she didn’t know if it would. And honestly for her it was never the same. But, God takes care of orphans and I know that to be true because after her death I had a different type of covering. I can look back over my life and recall tiny details as if they happened yesterday because I was able to see and feel things before they happened which allowed me to make better choices and decisions. He sent me my people. Not blood relatives but people that cared for me and watched over me. They simply stood in the gaps in ways I don’t think most would have if I’d had a mother. The wrap up… I never know how I’ll feel on 10/31. I cry no matter what because I have the ability to grieve now and I wonder what she would be to me now. Would we be Good Judy’s. Would we have ever reconciled our complicated relationship. I don’t know! But I do always thank her for giving me a fearless spirit, a great base and her cheekbones. Life has taught me that most people are truly doing the best they can with the tools they have. I’m so thankful on days like today that I found the right people. What happened to me that day actually happened for me. Even in tragedy two things can be true at the same time. 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️ 📷 Mom at 18 + Me at 28 #Nature by @majasly
All the feels!!!! 🥹❤️ No matter the economy. No matter how many salons were within a one-mile radius. I PRESSED THE GAS! There was no fear! Within 30 days, I signed a billboard contract, a Cheesecake Factory menu advertising contract, AND a Jezebel Magazine contract! Our salon was in a high-traffic location, but if you were speeding past, you could easily miss us. So I made sure that even if you didn’t see the salon, you were going to see BLACK WOMEN IN PRINT! On billboards, in magazines, and everywhere our customers were. And at the time, nobody was marketing salons like that! The wrap-up… The beauty industry has taken care of me my ENTIRE life. My uncle was a hairstylist, and his success paid for so many of the things that positioned me for mine. Being his shampoo tech gave me a skill that ensured I was NEVER a broke college student. Going on to earn my cosmetology license and opening my own salon at just 24 years old was nothing but grace and favor. But the real gift was never losing the ability to believe in my own dreams. I’ve always had the audacity to dream like a child and the courage to execute like a grown woman! I didn’t even realize how much I needed this reminder as I prepare to close out 2026. Because the run I’m about to go on in 2027? Baby, it’s me and BIG GANSTA LOCKSTEP! 🙌🏾🔥 I don’t know who needed this today, but sometimes you have to pull out your BODY OF WORK, slide it across the table, and remind folks that YOU BEEN THAT GIRL! #TBT Makeup : @geishaboii by @majasly

Screaming Happy Birthday to my front, back and my side Ang-Pang @angiewalker1025. One of the single best humans in the entire world. I’m forever grateful that God allowed our paths to cross 21 years ago. Through the ups and downs of life and highs and lows of business she’s been by my side and never let me fail. I love you to the mom and back Suga! 🫶🏾 by @majasly

Babbyyyyy, sometimes you just gotta POP YOUR ISH! 💅🏾🔥 And when I tell you this has been ONE OF THOSE WEEKS! First, I am beyond excited for my relocation clients who just purchased a MANSION as their FIRST HOME! 🏡🔑 After searching in multiple cities for over FOUR YEARS, a mutual friend connected us via text. We scheduled an onboarding call, I listened to their challenges, understood their vision, and gave them the reality of today’s real estate market, especially here in Atlanta. Here’s the thing. When you’re spending $1M+ on a home, you expect your DREAM HOME. But the reality is, a million dollars isn’t what it used to be! I knew there was an opportunity if they were willing to stretch their budget a bit and look beyond cosmetic updates. Not a full rehab, just an opportunity to make the home their own while building EQUITY. The cost to build this home today in this area would easily exceed $2.5M. I knew we had found something special! The result? UNDER CONTRACT, SOLD & CLOSED IN 21 DAYS! 🔥 But here’s the REAL story… My name was mentioned in a room I’d never entered. I hadn’t spoken to CJ in months, but he’d recently seen me on the news, so I was top of mind. More importantly, we’ve known each other for years, and he knows my WORK and my WORK ETHIC! That’s why I tell people all the time, your reputation will travel places your feet haven’t! I’ve always kept my foot on the gas, but this Q4, my focus has been intentional: BUILDING WEALTH FOR FAMILIES THROUGH REAL ESTATE! And to be part of this young couple’s journey to homeownership, knowing they walked into their FIRST HOME with an incredible opportunity to build generational wealth, makes the work worth it! by @majasly
Too many birthdays to count at this point but one thing for certain…two things for sure, we ride for life. Happy Birthday Suga. 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 @michelle_deshields 📸 @d.eelaney #100years by @majasly
Babbyyyyy, when I say a girl has been WORKING this week, I mean WORKING! 😩💃🏽 I’ve literally driven over 1,000 miles Monday through Wednesday, been in the field managing multiple projects, and meeting with new clients determined to get projects on the books before December 31st! Whew! 😂 I was in bed by 8 PM last night because I already knew today was going to be another day to hunker down! On today’s agenda? Finalizing the contract for next year’s Dinner at Dusk Polo Classic! 🐎🥂 Which reminded me that I never posted my pics from Sunday’s Bold Lips + Bow Ties Annual Day Party! Always a fabulous time running into so many people I hadn’t seen since Polo back in April. And yes, we’re already gearing up for 2027! 💕 The wrap-up… In honor of HOMECOMING SEASON, let me remind you that everything I have and everything I am today started with the decisions, relationships, and determination of a 17-year-old kid who saw NO LIMITS and always bet on herself! So I dare not complain about being tired because I prayed for a life I could be proud to lead. And while the work isn’t always easy, it’s absolutely worth it! Now it’s time to strap that battery pack on my back and WORK MY WHOLE ENTIRE SET! 🎤😂 And I suggest you work yours, too! It’s THAT season! 😉 #DinnerAtDuskPoloClassic by @majasly
A time was HAD, and this is so befitting! ❤️🐾 The deciding factor in my decision to attend Alabama A&M University was becoming a Maroonette! And baby, it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life! It was there that I grew into a woman, discovered my independence, and began my career in the beauty industry. That very career would eventually give me the wings to soar into opportunities and spaces I could have never imagined back then. The wrap-up… You’re truly ONE decision away from living a completely different life! I’m forever grateful to my younger self for trusting her instincts, believing in her abilities, and having the courage to make decisions that would shape the woman I am today. Sometimes you don’t even realize you’re making a life-changing decision until you look back and see just how far it carried you. ❤️ #GoBulldogs #AAMU Trust yourself. Your future self may thank you for it! by @majasly
