We lost our sweet Evie girl yesterday and it still doesn’t feel real.

To know her was to love her. She was the best big sister to Rex, a fierce protector, and one of the most loyal dogs I’ve ever known. I always felt safe with her by my side.

I am so thankful for the almost 9 beautiful years she was part of our family but the house will never be the same without her.

Fuck cancer!

Say hi to Krush for me, sweet girl. 🪽❤️ by @makshoop

Today I laid my sweet boy Krush to rest. There is a huge hole in my barn and my heart. Krush made so many of my childhood dreams come true, my first 3 ft jump, my first rated show, and my first season in Florida to name a few. We have been together for 12 years now and our partnership has endured many things in that time but he remained my best friend. He has been retired from riding for many years but we managed to grow even closer in that time. Krush was one of those horses who definitely did not win the genetic lottery, and it brings me peace to know he is pain free now. He taught me true dedication and the reality of horse ownership. His love is something I will be grateful for forever. I owe so much to him and I wish we had more time together. Thank you to everyone on Krush’s journey who believed in us. 🤍 by @makshoop

So much to be grateful and thankful for this past year. I graduated from Goucher College in May with a business major and an equine studies minor. My team earned the zone champion title and I had the opportunity to compete in my second IHSA Nationals. I got a job with the University of Lynchburg equestrian team and moved to Virgina in August. I am now a graduate assistant coach while working towards my MBA. Thank you 2023 and thank you Goucher for the experiences, the people, the community, and the memories I will cherish forever 🫶🏼 taken in Goucher College by @makshoop
