O @manicburg gosta de fazer as coisas se chocarem no single "One for you and one for me". O novo single da banda nova-iorquina parte de uma estrutura pouco convencional, com compasso em 7/4, guitarras pesadas e mudanças de clima que aproximam pós-punk, post-rock e rock progressivo.

Manicburg’s Ray and his family were aboard the Sloop Clearwater on July 4th when it was forced by several armed USCG boats to exit the parade in which it had been scheduled to escort the Portuguese ship NRP Sagres. No explanation was offered at the time and it was later made clear that the issue was that the Clearwater had chosen to fly a banner bearing advocacy messages that some could interpret as “political”, and even “politically charged.” The Clearwater was built as a working emblem of and vehicle of advocacy and education towards cleaning up and protecting the Hudson River. Some would say its removal from the parade is justified as protecting the parade from political messaging. We’re concerned this is the U.S. slipping down one more rung of the free speech ladder? Is clean water “politically divisive”? Is advocating for the rights of people whose rights have been wantonly violated for centuries “divisive”? Is advocating for mature conversations toward finding agreeable solutions for dealing with our changing climate “divisive”? As Clearwater director of Education and Outreach Jen Benson put it, “We don’t feel like advocating for clean water is a politically charged message. People on all sides of the aisle, and no sides at all, have been fighting in the United States for clean water in different ways.” What do you think? taken in Hudson Heights, Manhattan by @manicburg
