SAVE THE DATE : [re]Discoveries 2026 🗓️
From Zuidas to Kunstas

From 26–29 November, [re]Discoveries takes over Club Strozzi, in the heart of Amsterdam’s Zuidas district.

For its fourth edition [re]Discoveries will present the work of 50 artists.

In Club Strozzi you will discover that good art doesn’t have to be young, new, or expensive but that good art always has a story to tell. Come and enjoy those stories while talking with the artists or during our free guided tours. Art experts - from gallery owners and curators to architects, museum conservators, and art buyers - engage in conversations with the artists.

We invite you to talk to the artists, hear the stories behind their work and see and buy art that truly speaks to you.

For four days, the Amsterdam business district becomes a meeting place for artists, collectors and art professionals.✨

📍 Club Strozzi, Barbara Strozzilaan 101, Amsterdam
📅 26–29 November 2026

Mark your calendars. We’ll be revealing the participating artists and programme soon.

Our dear Doortje has left this world. Some of you were lucky enough to have known her. Doortje was a truly remarkable woman and an artist through and through, though far too modest to ever say so herself. She was determined to give me a Hockney book from her own bookshelf, simply because she knew how much his work means to me. That gesture (and the personal note she wrote in the book) says so much about who she was. I feel deeply grateful to have known her. As delicate and fragile as she may have appeared, her spirit was immensely strong and rich, and so was her love of life. This Friday at noon, her life will be celebrated in her son’s ballet studio. One of her favorite places.
•
Doortje took part in [re]Discoveries twice, and I feel very fortunate that she did. I will miss her dearly: her presence, her art, her sense of humor, her concern about the world and those wonderful posts and comments on Instagram.
•
Dag lieve Door! Rust zacht.🕊️🤍

I’m @manuelaklerkx , founding director of [re]Discoveries. My career in contemporary art began more than three decades ago.

After graduating in French Language & Literature and Philosophy, I moved to Brussels in 1992 to work with gallerist Rodolphe Janssen. It was the beginning of a life in contemporary art that later took me to Milan, where I worked with galleries including Massimo De Carlo and Karsten Greve, before founding my own gallery, KLERKX, in 2004.

Over the years, I have worked with artists, galleries, collectors and institutions across the international art world. What continues to drive me is the artist and the quality of the work itself. I believe talent has no age, prescribed route or required background. What matters is whether the work is authentic, distinctive and has something real to say.

Today, I advise and coach artists, helping them sharpen their practice, understand their position and build the right network around their work. I am interested in creating meaningful connections, not simply visibility, but relationships that can help an artist’s practice grow and endure. This belief also lies behind [re]Discoveries, which I founded in 2022.

Alongside this, I am Head of Gallery & VIP Relations for Art Rotterdam and Unseen/Photo and work with GalleryViewer. I co-authored Ontroerend goed: van kunst kijken naar kunst kopen (Meulenhoff, 2018) with my husband Oscar van Gelderen. For me, it always comes back to the same thing: recognising strong, authentic work and connecting it with the people who can truly help it move forward.

What a wonderful few days in Marseille. @artorama_marseille was a fantastic fair, set in a city where art, culture, sunshine and the Mediterranean atmosphere come together so naturally. Great discoveries, inspiring encounters, and the warm and vibrant atmosphere that makes Marseille so special. A perfect blend of art, culture and the Mediterranean way of life.
