Use your pain.

I once saw a quote that said: “there are two types of pain. One that hurts you and one that changes you.”

What I believe is pain is often one of the greatest catalysts for growth. It’s important to feel the pain of whatever challenge life is throwing at you. Feel it in its entirety. Grieve, cry, get angry. Do what you need to do. But the important part is not to live there. Don’t allow the pain to cripple you.

Use it as fuel.
Use it as motivation.
Turn it into strength.
Turn it into power.

If I’m being honest. What you see as my physical body has been the manifestation of a helluva lot of pain. Felt. Understood. Compressed, controlled & directed into my training and my life’s work.

I’ve learnt to let pain make me better. Not bitter.

It also makes you appreciate life to its fullest capacity when things are blissful.

Control the chaos.

I used to believe success required sacrificing everything.

The first photo was taken while I was hustling from home, long before I opened my first business.

I couldn’t see the end result. I didn’t know whether the work would pay off. But I kept showing up. Through the early mornings, late nights, doubt, loneliness and periods where it felt like I was getting nowhere.

Eventually, brick by brick, that work became something real.

I’m still proud of the person who refused to quit. That discipline changed my life.

But I’ve also learned that success means very little if you lose yourself while chasing it.

I missed events, milestones and moments with people I cared about because I convinced myself the work always had to come first. Back then, I wore that sacrifice like a badge of honour. Today, I understand that time is the one thing you can earn more money with but no amount of money can buy back.

A mentor once told me:

“You don’t get what you want in life. You get what you fucking earn.”

I still believe that.

Work hard. Earn the life you want. But don’t become so obsessed with the destination that you miss the life happening around you.

Build for tomorrow. But remember, only now exists.

I’ve had to recreate myself more times than I can count.

And looking back, some of the darkest periods of my life were also the ones that changed its direction completely.

There was a point where I could’ve gone down a very different path.

Instead, I found fitness.

At first, it was just an outlet. Somewhere to put the anger, frustration, insecurity and things I didn’t know how to talk about.

But somewhere along the way, it became much more than that.

Fitness taught me discipline when I had no direction.
It gave me confidence when I had very little.
It showed me that I could become someone different if I was willing to do the work.

That lesson eventually carried into every other area of my life.

I transformed my body.
I built businesses.
I failed.
I rebuilt.
I lost myself at times.
And I found myself again.

And through all of it, one thing has remained constant:

The person you are today does not have to be the person you remain.

That’s what this page is about. More than just fitness, I want to talk about things that happen outside the gym.

Mental health.
Identity.
Self-belief.
Failure.
Discipline.
Starting again when life doesn’t go according to plan.

Because for me, fitness was never just about building a better body.

It became the vehicle through which I built a better life.

So whether you’re here to transform physically, get your head right, rebuild yourself, or simply become someone you’re proud of…

“Healthy” doesn’t automatically mean suitable for fat loss.

You can eat nutritious foods, avoid takeaway and cook every meal at home and still consume more calories than your body needs.

That doesn’t mean those foods are bad. It means food quality and food quantity serve different purposes.

Quality supports your health, energy and performance.

Quantity determines whether your weight moves up, down or stays the same.

If your progress has stalled, don’t immediately assume your metabolism is “broken.” Track honestly, look at your weekly habits and assess the trend over several weeks.

Then make an informed adjustment.

You don’t need to eat less forever. You need to understand how much you’re actually eating.

Save this for your next fat loss phase and follow for more practical training and nutrition advice. by @markjmagallanes

Some days, the hardest thing I lift is myself out of the headspace I woke up in.

I don’t always leave feeling better.
But I leave knowing I showed up for myself.

And on those days, that’s enough.

For a long time, this was just an idea.

Something I kept thinking about, writing down and telling myself I’d build “one day.”

But the perfect time doesn’t exist.

Only now exists.

This is ONE.

A brand built around movement, purpose and the constant pursuit of becoming more.

The first chapter is on its way.

001 — coming.

I called this one “Redemption.” Because I failed my last attempt at a sub 1:45min half marathon.

But I view training the same way I view life. So I don’t believe failure is a negative thing. Failure isn’t the opposite of success, it’s a part of the journey. The people who eventually win aren’t the ones who avoid failure. They’re the ones who refuse to let it stop them. Every mistake, rejection and loss carries a lesson. Learn from it, adjust and keep moving forward.

There is something truly special about pushing yourself. Not because of the result, the medal, or the recognition, but because every time you step into discomfort voluntarily, you discover a version of yourself you didn’t know existed. You build confidence, resilience and proof that you’re capable of more than you once believed.

I could not have done this without the people you see in this post as well as many others that aren’t. Thank you all for believing in me, supporting me and pushing me. I’m rich in life, because of you all.

We keep getting better, together. 🙏🏽❤️
