POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
There’s been many times in my career where I’ve felt like a complete failure and I’m sure there will be plenty more. The nature of my job makes the wins very short lived with seemingly unattainable targets so it’s hard to shut off. I started this year in rough shape mentally. Having a hard time working alone at home with no clear path in my pursuits and a huge number weighing over my head, I felt chained to my desk and it was really starting to get to me. I was going to the island more often to catch a break which has made my dream of living in this magical town a reality much sooner than I envisioned.

Since March I’ve been competing to win a client I’ve been pursuing for over 2 years now. I had zero experience with their business back then but ever since our first meeting hearing of their past with SAP services, I wanted to change their mind. It’s taken me 7-10 straight months to do that. I’ve never worked harder to earn a clients trust and prove myself over every other partner in the tech industry. We finally signed our first big project today and I am over the moon to see this through in 2021! šŸ¾

The water and community in Tofino has been hugely special in making this year one of my best. The ocean has kept me focused and sane through the rollercoaster that sales is. Software has shaped the course of my life since I was 21 and dedicating to this field has been a wild ride of learning and getting uncomfortable. This gig is the reason for all the adventures I’ve had in BC. Without SAP I wouldn’t be here, I’m incredibly grateful and stoked to be able to do my job from this amazing ocean playground.

Moral of my story is never let yourself believe that you are incapable of doing something. No matter how hard or far out of reach. If you tackle life’s challenges believing in yourself and take small steps to get there, one day you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come conquering things you once didn’t see for yourself, gaining skills you didn’t have at first, and it might just put you right where you wanted to be all along! šŸ¤™šŸ¼ taken in Tofino, British Columbia by @marniebreed

If you know me very well, or if we grew up together, you know that I struggled immensely in my teens with the weight of mental illness. I knew at a young age that my battle with a scary disease would always be in my life. It’s caused me to live fearlessly, take nothing for granted, and fully send it on my dreams because we’ve only got one shot at this thing. For most of my life, I’ve lived with deep feelings that no one could ever relate to, and how could they when no one ever talks about the unfortunate parts of our reality. As I’ve matured, I’ve been so lucky to be comfortable getting uncomfortable and have made close friendships in my late twenties where I can truly relate with other people’s stories and learn of our different childhood experiences.

I hit the lottery after moving to tofino. Not only did I care less about what society thinks I should do, but I found a girl that has genuinely inspired me to be my full self and leave my fears behind. I got out of the surf one day and this cutie was parked next to me with her shortboard and I thought holy fuck she’s cool. I bet she rips, I want to be her friend. The universe delivered. Fast forward almost 3 years and I couldn’t have dreamed up a friend that shares so much of the same untamed interests in life, a deep passion for surfing, and wildly unique childhood experiences growing up as me that I could never discuss with anyone that would truly understand.

@kat__suzuki you are a magnificent little angel and I am so proud and grateful to be your friend. Getting to start 2024 after a very hard winter in my personal life by quitting my job and reuniting in your Carribbean home for 10 days of pure joy and utter freedom, surfing and laughing until we physically could not anymore, AND arranging for me to go gallop in a tropical oasis and ride through rivers in the forest with a beautiful horse was a peak life experience that I will continue to think about until I come back. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

I am so excited for what’s to come this year. If you’re still reading this and haven’t listened to my first podcast episode of Giddy Up with Marnie Breed on Spotify yet, please do it would mean the absolute world to me!!! YEEHAW taken in Cabarete, Dominican Repuclic by @marniebreed

When I was little my dad raced cars and it’s always been a deep love I mostly experienced from the passenger seat. His passion for the sport ingrained an outrageous need for speed in me and a dream of one day getting behind an Aston Martin (thanks to my 2006 Casino Royale obsession lol)

After grinding through my first full year at ServiceNow, I closed 2025 overachieving quota on December 30th right at the wire. Despite so many moments I thought I’d come up short, crossing that finish line for my business in Canada meant everything.

In sales, you get about a day to celebrate before the clock resets if you’re lucky. But this year feels different because come May, I’m marking 10 years in enterprise software. A career I built on my own in Ottawa as a 21-year-old gal with no roadmap and no clue where it would take her!

This industry will humble you, challenge you, and test every ounce of your resilience. Looking back at how far you’ve come is important. I don’t know how long I’ll stay in this AI race but I’ve always believed that women don’t just belong in this space, we elevate it. I’ll never stop advocating for more of us to have a seat at the table.

To celebrate with the team that pushed alongside me last year, we did something different at our annual conference.. 7 laps on a dream track was the most electric experience that felt so damn close to home and the beginning of a new Vegas tradition. šŸ

Long story short, if you started this year unsure of your next move, or feel stuck in your career, my advice is to follow your instincts, put your foot on the gas and never let go of your dream šŸŽļø taken in Dream Racing Las Vegas Motor Speedway by @marniebreed

The Year of the Fire Horse is here and its time to talk about it.

Getting here was nooot easy, last year had a way of bringing things to the surface that could no longer be ignored. Revisiting long stored emotions and parts of ourselves we’d compartmentalized for years. It asked us to slow down, to really feel and let go of what is no longer ours to carry.

That kind of season changes you.

If last year cracked you open, this year invites you to rise.

To take up space again. To invest your energy in yourself, intentionally and unapologetically. It is not a coincidence my podcast is called Giddy Up. I was raised by these beautiful animals and their trust, energy, and power has brought me the utmost freedom, joy and strength when I needed it most. They teach you how to trust and that confidence is built by listening to instinct.

From choosing how and where you place your energy - the Fire Horse shifts from internal processing to embodied movement. This is a year for moving with yourself instead of against. Not rushing. Building strength that comes from alignment.

No more shrinking to fit old rooms. Time to use your voice. Let this new version unfold as you go.

Giddy up!! šŸŽšŸ’«

Started the year with 10 peaceful days having very little internet soaking in 25+ degree heat, the freshest pineapple, seafood, and warm waves with friends

Thanks to @surfstrongwithkat for always welcoming me to your special side of the world! šŸļøšŸŒ€šŸ„„ taken in Dominican Republic by @marniebreed

Hearing Connor’s story was a reminder of how much community actually matters. How being seen, and spoken to at the right moment can change the entire course of someone’s life. He shared how a friend noticing something was off and choosing to say something instead of staying silent — quite literally saved his life.

That’s the power of friendship and community. That’s why reaching out even when you’re unsure what to say — can mean more than you’ll ever know.

We don’t heal alone. We just convince ourselves we should. If someone came to mind while watching this — that’s not a coincidence šŸ¤ this is your reminder to reach out even if it feels awkward, especially then.

I hope you enjoy the episode!! Live on YouTube šŸŽ™ļø
