I’m officially a @pecosoutdoor Pro!

In our world, equipment gets put through the wringer. Between catering events, loading trailers, setting up in fields, parking lots, and everywhere in between, we need gear that works as hard as we do. These tables have taken everything we’ve thrown at them and keep showing up ready for more.

Even better than the products are the people behind them. We’ve gotten to know the Pecos team over the last year, and they’re the kind of folks we’re proud to partner with.

When you hear Eastern North Carolina, what comes to mind?
Is it the pine tree-lined backroads that wind through the countryside?
Is it the endless creeks, with cypress trees that stood long before us—and will stand long after we’re gone?
Is it the small towns, with corner stores selling sausage biscuits, honey buns, and shotgun shells?
Is it the small churches that dot the landscape, trying to save lost souls?
Is it the smell of whole hog cooking over oak wood, waiting for a quick chop and a splash of vinegar sauce?
Is it the salt marsh creeks that have filled our bellies—and broken our hearts with the ones that got away?
Is it the summer nights on the coast, watching the sun go down with salt on our skin and a fresh sunburn?
Is it the people, shaped by hurricanes, floods, good times, and bad?

It’s all of those things—but most importantly, it’s HOME.

I left Eastern North Carolina for nine months of my life. When I crossed back over the Blue Ridge Mountains, I said a silent prayer that God would never send me away from this place that’s such an important part of who I am.

Of all the accolades in my life, one of my proudest moments has been being asked to serve as an ambassador for Eastern North Carolina. Make sure you follow @livingenc as I, along with some incredibly talented people, share the story of why Eastern North Carolina is such a special place.

We had the boys cheffin’ it up in Charlotte late last month. Pecos ambassadors @rolling_bones_bbq & @matt_ssbbq were out tag teaming for @scout_motors at Harvester Festival! Good times were had, lots of meat was cooked, and even more meat was eaten. BBQ rocks 🤟🏼

Y’all are overthinking dinner… and probably judging me for putting @dukes_mayonnaise on the bread. 😂

This week: Butter Beans & Italian Sausage with Cherry Tomatoes and Greens, served with Duke’s-toasted bread to get every last bite.

Why Duke’s instead of butter? It spreads easily straight from the fridge, and a thin layer helps the bread toast up golden and crisp. That little tang works with a rich dish like this, too.

You toasting your bread with butter or mayo? 👀
