Moved to KC, but it’s summertime Chi 🫠

This fire horse energy has been dragging my ass through the year whether I like it or not. We took a step toward our goal of Location Freedom, by purchasing a camper van. This has unlocked amazing adventures, allowed connection, and brought us to places we didn’t know we needed to experience.

Our first trip was to Chicago for a bucket list show at Wrigley Field, Rufus Du Sol. Immaculate vibes and one of the most intentional performances we’ve experienced. Wrigley is such a special place and when you add Rufus, it’s unmatched. This coming from a Boston Red Sox fan, growing up at Fenway park.

We stealth camped for the first time in Ravenswood district of Chicago right next to Wrigleyville. The sounds of the L rocked us to sleep and helped disguise there was a family of three sleeping in a van on the side of a city street. We got some beach time the next morning and started the journey home. Nalu has some growing up to do before running off leash with the big dogs but she is getting there.

Farm hopping! Harvest Host is the coolest idea to connect property/business owners to RV travelers. We had the opportunity to stay on a flower farm and a winery this trip. Shout out to Mary and Dale for being then most kind & generous people who just simply want to share their blessings with fellow travels and gives access to their farm for others to appreciate, it’s what their family wanted after being passed down. Experiences such as this really allows you to enjoy the journey, stop’n smell the flowers and connect with other quality humans that have found purpose & joy in the quiet life. That’s a wrap Illinois ➡️ Hello KCMO ❤️

The past few months have felt a lot like the tower card in the tarot. Everything crumbling around us, so a new chapter could emerge.

One thing we have gotten really good at is trusting the universe, and surrendering to the uncertainly 😅

When Matt got an offer to help build a program in Kansas City, we knew this was the start of the next chapter. And I truly welcomed it this time (leaving AZ still hurts lol)

We leave Champaign feeling -

🏡 Pride in our real estate portfolio (+3 units!)

🐾 Gratitude that our dogs finally chapter was full of intention, cozy fires and lots of country cruises.

❤️ Memories with our AZ friends that moved back to IL

All of us went through our own healing at our Champaign sanctuary. We will continue to root for the Illini and invest in this little community that gave us 2 beautiful years.

Kaimana. Kai. Keke. Lady girl. Keeks. Kai Monica. ❤️‍🩹

We had to say goodbye to our sweet girl—our first baby and ride or die for 14 beautiful years

The ultimate adventure pup, always ready to hop in the Jeep and see what was next

She started as a beach baby
Then, a desert doggo
And ended as a Midwest queen
Enjoying every season from her big front window

Smart, curious, and so full of personality

Fell right off the damn pretty tree

She always found her way to the center of it all (usually by outsmarting her brother and stealing the spotlight)

After losing Koa last year, we were given one more year to pour everything we had into Kai. A year of road trips to the UP in summer and long drives to see her grandparents in Florida for winter

All rules out the window, fresh salmon dinners… and yes, dad finally gave her some pizza. 😉

At times, the void is unbearable; at others, the gratitude for being her parents is just as loud. ❤️‍🩹

The house is so quiet now, the kind of silence that reminds you how deeply you loved.

Year TWO playing on Groove Cruise 😌🚢

Coming back to this floating dance floor full off beautiful humans is something we’ll never take for granted. We had a ton of fun building this set ft. heaters from @walkerandroyce , @azzecca , our homie @sllnzmusic , and so many more. Thank you @djrizrizzo for the opportunity - maybe we light up the casino in 27?! 😘

Nothing beats sharing moments like this alongside my bae and friends that feel more like familia. I’m a lucky girl 💋

The world lost a true Hawaiian warrior on 8.14.25. @sammythebull64 was my father in law, my bruddah, and a dear friend. When we first met, you refused to call me by my name. I was Scotty, your driver, haole boy, and white boy. I had to earn your respect and neither one of us would know, how beautifully our relationship would grow over the course of 15+ years. We had the same attitude problem, same confidence to grab life by the balls and make it our bitch, nothing was too hard or tough to thrive through. You taught me how to take that misappropriated energy and turn it into that of a warrior while showing deep appreciation for life and the world. I’ve never experienced spirituality in such a way that connected me to everything on this planet and beyond the way you showed me was possible. Aumakua, brother of the sea. You saw the hammerhead shark tattoo on my arm and connected with my love for the ocean and the life it holds being the waterman you are. You pushed me not to be a “99%’er” as we would drive past hours of traffic heading in the opposite direction as we cruised traffic free to the golf course. We shared a passion for business that drove me to be great and not settle for mediocre. He would not approve of anything less. I am grateful for every moment we had together, the people you connected me with, and your daughter making me the happiest and complete man I am today. Rest in peace, rest in power.
