Experimental account for @mbmoore / @mbmoorephoto - stuff that doesn't really fit anywhere else. Just having fun tbh.

Reflection on life by @mbmoore.x

Sunset, Paris by @mbmoore.x

I saw an amazing photo exhibit in Paris today. These two photographs are portraits of women maimed by Napalm in the Vietnam war. They were taken by Richard Avedon. I am a huge Avedon admirer and I’ve never seen this work. I had no idea he did this project. It makes me wonder - has this work been suppressed in the US? What else don’t we see because it is an uncomfortable truth?

It’s Paris Design Week coming up, and there’s a lot of interest in retro designs - mid-century modern, egg chairs, teak yadda yadda. But the designs in Paris that make me happy are old stairs like this, and lampposts, Wallace fountains. The everyday scenes that are beautiful and functional. by @mbmoore.x

I’m not afraid of Death

I’m afraid of living too long
Of not knowing when my time has passed
Of needing help to wash my ass

I’m afraid of outliving my love
And outliving my contemporaries

Although my genetics say these fears are unfounded. My people are not long-lived. by @mbmoore.x
