Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

As readers and human beings, we can all do better. It is well within our ability to make sure the oppressed are heard, and we should be using our voices to amplify those who are silenced. The genocide in Gaza, the relentless bombing of Lebanon and now Yemen, the retaliation against people trying to help- where is your outrage? Remember, when you are silent you are choosing the side of the oppressor.

This is in no means an extensive list, but it’s a place to start. Please drop any further recommendations below!

🇵🇸 Books to read on Palestine 🇵🇸

As readers, we can do better. Please find it in your hearts to listen to Palestinian voices + stories and help amplify them. There isn’t much we can do beyond raising awareness and making sure the oppressed are heard. It’s the bare minimum in solidarity with those who are being silenced.

For those who wanted bookstagram to remain about books- here you go. This is in no way an extensive list, but it’s a good start. Please feel free to add more recommendations below 🇵🇸❤️

🗣️ this is NOT a space for hate. If you find yourself scrolling through the Palestine tag and looking for people to fight/antagonize, you have a problem. All hate comments will be deleted and you will be blocked 🫶🏼

A TIME WAS HAD!!! 🏒🐙📖🧙🏼‍♀️✨

A perfect night with the @detroitredwings x @fmcfaddenauthor to celebrate the release of The Witch! This was such a great opportunity to get my book club out to a themed event, and it was the absolute best time!!! We danced, ate, cheered, screamed, and even got some reading done 🤣❤️

Thank you SO much to the Red Wings for putting this on and inviting me out!! Whoever planned this did a fantastic job with the goodies 👏🏻 The deluxe edition of the book, themed crewneck, and Photo Booth bookmarks were an excellent touch 🙂‍↕️ also had the pleasure of running into the QUEEN @bondingoverbooks.co ❤️❤️

We can’t wait for the next book club night at LCA!! Detroit just does it better 🥰 by @meesreads

ONE YEAR: AUGUST!!! 💖🥳✨📖🪩🎂🎀🥰

One year of Enchanted Pages!!!! 🥹 we obviously had to throw a banger for our anniversary meeting, and it turned out bigger and better than we could’ve imagined!!! 🥰 we had sparkles and glitter, yummy matcha, an abundance of snacks, dance music, a stunning cake, FABULOUS party outfits, and the VIBES?!Incredible 🤩🤩🤩

A special happy birthday to our August babies, Lila & Sabrina (who sadly couldn’t make it) 💝 Sharing a birthday month with E.P is really a huge flex because you get a party with us every year!!! 🙂‍↕️🥳🥰

Huge thank you to everyone who helped set up this event and make it possible!! Our sweet Natalie for hosting in this incredible space, @matchadelicmatcha for our delicious matcha, and @lacremepastry for our gorgeous cake!! 🤩
and shoutout to my setup and cleaning crew, you the GOAT’S 🥹✨💌

What started as a simple idea to find local book lovers turned into something so much bigger; a sense of community, a beautiful sisterhood, and friendships that have changed every single one of us. Every meeting this past year has become such a wonderful memory full of laughs and tears and hugs and everything in between 💝 all of these ladies contribute SO MUCH to our group every month and we truly would not be here without them!! Thank you all for believing in me a year ago, during a time when I felt incredibly lost and had no idea that something so beautiful could grow from the ashes 😭 I love you forever and ever and I could never fully express my gratitude for your friendships so pls accept my tears of joy!!!!! 😭😭😭😭🥹🥹🥹💖💖💖💖

Year 1 of ♾️ down!!!

Currently reading: grim tidings aka the LOML and the book I can’t put down???? 💜✨🪽

Happy pub week to this stunner!!!!! ✨✨ B. K. BORISON DOES IT AGAIN 🗣️🗣️ I’m not even done and I already know this book is going to be 5 stars 😭 because wdym a grim reaper who’s tired of death and a guardian angel who is committed to helping her check off a bucket list??? I am OBSESSED with Darcy and Gabriel, I love their banter, I love the way they try to hate each other but CANT, I love how deeply they both feel emotion 😭 as with good sprits, the characters tug at my chest and cause literal pain (in the best way). I am already v protective over them 🥲 also the Harriet and Nolan mentions I literally gasped because those are my babies 🥺🥺🥺🥺

If you need me I’ll be here!!!! I can’t wait to share my review when I finish, but since this is out already I’m yelling at y’all to GO BUY IT!!! 🙂‍↕️

If you’ve read this one already lmk your thoughts!!! Or tell me your current read! 📖 by @meesreads

Happy friday & happy reading update!!!!! ✨💝

Also hello to my new fave shirt!!! 🙂‍↕️

My last, current, and next reads (with honorable mentions pictured) 🥰 My last handful were SO good and I’m honestly still losing it over Mad Mabel, that book was such a pleasant surprise!

I’m absolutely loving my current reads, especially a forsaken prophecy! It picked up right where forbidden alchemy ends and omgggg the DRAMA!! THE YEARNING! The heartache 😩I’m not ready for it to end because I can already feel the cliffhanger coming and I’m SCARED 🫠

Super excited to read the scattered bones for my book club this month, and also GRIM TIDINGS FINALLYYYY 🥹 I have the arc so I’m going to prioritize finishing that before release day. I cannot wait to be back in a BK Borison book, I feel like my soul needs it!!! And also after attending the Victoria Aveyard event last night I’m SO hyped for Tempest!!! I feel like a pirate read is perfect for this time of year so I’m readyyyyy 🤩

Okay I’m done yapping thanks for listening!! What is your last/current/next read?! ✨✨✨✨✨ by @meesreads

Book club night with @liztomforde.author & @tigers !!! ⚾️📚🏟️✨

MORE EVENTS LIKE THIS PLS!!!! I love love love that books & sports are finally intersecting in real life because this was the BEST time ever!! We sadly missed most of the Q&A with Liz, but seeing her throw the first pitch at the Tigers game was so cool!! 🙂‍↕️ I also just love being at Comerica Park, the vibes are amazing the food is unreal and it’s always a fun place to be ✨ petition for a hockey book club night with the @detroitredwings next?! 👀

How cool is this merch though?! 🤩 Whoever put this together clearly knows what the people want because it was all perfect. The Tigers themed sprayed edges, the custom totes, the photo booth bookmarks hello!!!!! I’m obsessed!!! 💝 shoutout to Liz for hand signing all of these books 💅🏼

And if you haven’t read this book- drop everything nowwww because she’s an easy 5 stars 🥰 taken in Comerica Park by @meesreads
