I’m still caught between 2 worlds. So I often travel back and forth cos my work, life and community is in Cardiff. But my family, my heart is in Leicester for a few more months. Last few trips have been full on, but unfortunately I love it 🥲

I meet so many founders who have vibecoded their way to an MVP and are already out there talking to real people.

AND I love seeing that energy. You have built something tangible, you are getting real world feedback. We love a founder with validation energy!

The challenge usually comes right after that moment.

My secret is out!

A few years ago, I was one of those self-proclaimed “changemaker” designers. Today, we’re a team that has learned from our mistakes, refined our processes, and grounded our work in real evidence rather than assumptions.

Solving problems and real user needs always comes first. Not tools, not egos…

Every so often in your career, you accept an offer that turns out to be the best decision ever.

Hiring Awen was one of those for me. Today Awen is leaving Seedable Studio. Our first team member to move on in 5 years. A big day for us, a sad for us, because honestly they’re pretty awesome.

A bit controversial and I know product designers out there are going to gasp at this… But remember the times we didn’t have AI and still build incredible things?   Again I’m not saying “don’t use AI tools” I use them myself. I’m just saying, question first, adopt later…

We aren’t against AI integrations. In fact, we recently built an app and a game with AI embedded. But we didn’t use autonomous agents; just small moments of delight and ease to the user journey.

Next time you feel pressured to feature AI, ask yourself: is this genuinely solving a user problem, or are you just doing it for the sake of it?

This might just be the coolest thing any client has ever done for me! Yes, I’m looking at you, @lucy_heskins !

Another project under our belt and I’m proud to have such wonderful clients with a collaborative vision and a great team who aren’t afraid to experiment.
