Hi friends!! I had the honor of booking Destiny and our mother Misty’s Aruba getaway two week’s ago. This is their second time traveling to Aruba, so they already knew what, when and how they wanted it to go (which made my job that much easier lol). They stayed at the Riu Palace Antillas- Adults only, all-inclusive resort! Included in their stay, they were gifted up to $590 in resort credits, in-room liquor dispenser with stocked fridge, and access to the neighboring Riu Palace for additional privileges all while overlooking the ocean. Outside of resort amenities and beach access, Destiny and Misty decided to experience Aruba’s authentic nightlife nearby at Fat Tuesday Aruba and South Beach Aruba. Just know a TIME was HAD, and stay tuned for upcoming booked trips from other friends 😉 Thank you so much for trusting me with making your trip possible, and can’t wait to see what’s next! 💙 If you’re looking to travel to Aruba or anywhere else to getaway for a few days, contact me so we can brainstorm next steps! #aruba #riupalaceantillas #fattuesdayaruba #southbeacharuba #allinclusive by @memswmari

Hi Friends 👋🏽 Welcome back to "Mari's Memories", where for the next couple months of Mondays, I will be showing you an inside peek of my travels with each 3x3 stop my team takes this summer. Today, we're going back to the mid July where we traveled to Batam, Indonesia 🇮🇩. Our travel to Batam Island was quite the journey, because we took a flight, train, and ferry but at last we made it. We were hosted by the Harris hotel, which was centrally located to the ferry, the venue where we played, and Mega Mall Batam Center (local shopping center). We arrived in Batam a few days early, so we got to get really acquainted with the area. We spent time eating (Korean BBQ and Sushi Roi), shopping, and some much needed pampering (nails at D style salon and massages at Reborn spa). After competing, we celebrated one of our teammates birthday's and concluded our longest 3x3 stretch with a much needed break to Vietnam 🇻🇳 (stay tuned for the next post). Hi Friends 👋🏽 Today's "Trip Tip" looks a little different than past Thursdays. The reason being, with all the traveling I've been doing, I thought it would be best to give you an inside peek of how I prefer to travel. Row 1: The can't live withouts As a frequent traveler for a range of distances, I keep my essential technologies on me with their corresponding charger. For example, I am now an avid reader so my kindle is a must, tablet for comfort tv shows/movies, and laptop for travel content and booking trips for other friends. My wallet is equally as important for my international travel. Often times I have to exchange a variety of currency to the country I'm going to, so I am able to explore, eat, and buy all the Pandora charms I want to capture where I've been. Row 2: Travel essentials This row is probably the most important. First, you cannot go anywhere without your passport and/or boarding pass, so I won't even waste too many characters on that. Next, I personally travel with my hygiene in my carry-on, because you never know with delays, layovers, or just a quick refreshing up. Last, the airport is an environment of unpredictability, so keeping a first aid kit on me helps be prepare for any medical incidents or mysterious bruises/cuts that may appear. Row 3: Job requirements This row is primarily for work related activities lol. Checking bags can be hit or miss when traveling far distances and on multiple planes. As a precautionary measure, I pack my jersey and basketball shoes in the instance that my bags don't make it, I can still play and/or practice in the meantime. However, I just recently started packing extra clothes, when my bags were lost in Vienna Austria earlier this season 🤡. Now, I take EXTRA precautionary measures, so I don't have to come out of pocket for basic clothing needs. Are any of these items similar to how you pack your carry-on? #PackingEssentials #CarryOn #travel #triptips #memswmari by @memswmari

Hi Friends 👋🏽 Long time no see, but ya girl has been road running, country hopping, and slam dunking HARD! Nonetheless, SHE'S BACKKKK 😛 Welcome back to "Mari's Memories", where for the next couple months of Mondays, I will be showing you an inside peek of my travels with each 3x3 stop my team takes this summer. Today, we're going back to the start of July then trickling down to the present. In the beginning of July, China got back to back visits with our tournament in Xiantao and Jinan. Due to not having much time to explore or capture, it was best to give you 2 places in 1 post. In Xiantao, we stayed at Xiantao Wushang Stadium Wanxin Zhige Hotel, which was about a 5 min walk, through the park that hosted communal karaoke tents, to Xiantao City Gymnasium (venue where we played). Unfortunately for my lack of Chinese, I am unable to translate the names of the one local restaurant we ate post-tournament so if you are truly interested in that I'll work on it (at a later date lol). Xiantao ended well for us as we made it to yet another final, but even though we fell short we had a quick turnaround to our next stop. In Jinan, we stayed at Bai Hua Ting International Hotel, which was about 10-15minutes away from Jinan Sunac Mall (venue where we played). In the end, we made up for our last shortcoming, and won our second WS title this season! So so proud of my team for digging in deep past the fatigue, long travel, and unpredictable weather changes! ❤️ Next Stop: Batam, Indonesia #marismemories #JinanChina #xiantaochina #ulaanbataramazons #Fiba3x3 by @memswmari

Hi Friends 👋🏽 Welcome back to "Mari's Memories", where for the next couple months of Mondays, I will be showing you an inside peek of my travels with each 3x3 stop my team takes this summer. Today, we relive this past weekend in our very own, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia 🇲🇳. Given that I have been living in the land for about a year and a half, I have seen and did quite a bit. However, it was nice to stay in the heart of the city for a change and the city was buzzing. We host a Challenger (Men), Women Series, and World Tour (Men) throughout the week/weekend. We all were hosted by the Ulaanbaatar hotel, which was within walking from malls, restaurants, and the venue of course! Prior to the tournament starting, we had an autograph event, where we met some of our amazing fans that show up and out for us whether we are near or far! So grateful for all the love, support, and gifts that you took the time to buy and gift us. After playing our hearts out and bringing more history to our organization and Mongolia women's basketball, we celebrated over a delicious dinner at Maison Rouge 🥩🍝 . Even though we were home, I MUST stay to my tradition, so I took a very necessary trip to the one and only: Pandora (Located in Shangri-la Mall).
