Norway came to Mumbai this week, and it arrived by air, impeccably fresh!

Ahead of the first anniversary of India-Norway Free Trade Agreement, @11enses partnered with The Norwegian Seafood Council (@seafoodfromnorway_global) and The Royal Norwegian Consulate General, Mumbai (@norwayinmumbai) to introduce @norway’s celebrated seafood among Mumbai diners.

Who better to interpret it than @chefsarfaraz_ahmed of @tresindmum, one of the country’s finest chefs? His degustation, built around King Crab, Cod, Scallops and cold water shrimps flown in from Norway, was a thoughtful study in how gracefully Indian flavours work for Norwegian seafood.

Chefs, business leaders, travel voices, importers, exporters, hospitality professionals and journalists shared a room where talk of supply chains gave way to the flavours on the plate and where to find them in India.
Behind every plate lies a chain of people, from fjord to table, and it is rare to find them all in one room.

Here’s to more of Norway on Indian tables. Skål 🥂

A beautiful evening spent in the company of the Norwegian Consul General, celebrating the finest of Norwegian seafood and the wonderful friendships that bring people and cultures together. 🇳🇴✨

My heartfelt thanks to Zamir and Nikhil for inviting Lakham and me to this truly special evening.

And to Chef Sarfaraz Ahmed — what a magnificent creation. Your menu was a beautiful expression of the produce, with such thoughtfulness, finesse and imagination in every course. It was an absolute pleasure to experience.

I consider myself Apolitical. But that is not an excuse to not Speak-Up. It is now, or never. We have to make a choice.

WE ARE BROKEN.

Not just as a nation, but as a society.

As Gen X and Millennials, we need to ask ourselves an uncomfortable question: What kind of world are we handing over to those who come after us?

A generation inheriting ageing infrastructure, widening inequality, a changing climate, an entitled Society, Society built on “Chalta-hai” attitude, ZERO civic-sense, rising unemployment, public-servants doing the bidding of the 1%, declining trust in institutions, and growing frustration with systems that often seem slow to listen or adapt. Whether in government, business, education, or civil society, accountability cannot be selective. Institutions exist to serve people, not the other way around.

Progress over the last eight decades is real and worth acknowledging. Yet progress should never become an excuse to ignore what still needs fixing. Patriotism is not blind agreement; it is the courage to hold ourselves, and those in positions of responsibility, to a higher standard.

The events surrounding Mr. @wangchuksworld’s hunger strike (over 3 weeks) and the Non-violent, youth-led protests at Jantar Mantar yesterday, including reports of his detention and clashes between protesters and the Delhi police, have left many Indians (young and old) asking whether peaceful voices are being heard. Regardless of where one stands politically, a democracy is strongest when dialogue precedes confrontation, when empathy outweighs ego, and when citizens exercising peaceful dissent are met with engagement rather than escalation.

Gen Z did not create these challenges. They inherited them. Yet they may be the generation that chooses to solve them, not through violence or division, but through dialogue, constitutional values, and the enduring principles of Mahatma Gandhi’s Satyagraha.

If we truly believe they are our future, then the least we can do is listen.

Chalta-hai attitude and Silence is no longer an option. That has what has got us here, to begin with. taken in India by @meraazamir

As we step into a New Year and new beginnings, here’s a glimpse into one of our most exciting partnerships of 2025 - designing a bespoke beverage program for 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐫 @thesilvertrainrestaurant, Mumbai.

Trends will always invite debate. But at 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, we’re firm on one belief when it comes to drinks: a beverage program must be a natural extension of the dining experience - not a collection of “Instagrammable” drinks that look good, yet say little on the palate.

What we’re building, and deeply committed to, is the next chapter for Hospitality, starting with “Restaurant Bars” which are 𝒄𝙪𝒓𝙖𝒕𝙚𝒅, 𝙬𝒆𝙡𝒍-𝒓𝙚𝒔𝙚𝒂𝙧𝒄𝙝𝒆𝙙, 𝒕𝙝𝒐𝙪𝒈𝙝𝒕𝙛𝒖𝙡 spaces that move far beyond the typical nimbu-paani, the usual cocktail suspects, packaged juices and aerated fillers. Bars that belong to the restaurant, elevate the food, and tell a story of intent, flavour and craft.

Because the future of dining isn’t louder drinks - it’s 𝑠𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑛𝑒𝑠 🍸

Our little stars took center stage and brought Ruskin Bond’s “The Blue Umbrella” to life with all the drama, charm, and cuteness you could ever ask for!
Who knew such small feet could leave such a big impression?

Amaraah has a keen interest in reading and inspired by her mother (who is a writer) and best friend (since they were toddlers), Amaraah chose to write her first book aptly is around a subject that she feels dearly about - kindness. She is in the process of writing her 2nd book which is on emotions after which she plans to write a mystery book. All of this at the tender age of 7 years. by @meraazamir
