TONIGHT at 8PM CST we’re droppin’ the first fresh baked batch of MISFORTUNE COOKIES - Our very first Japanese-style vinyl Sofubi toy!

Made in Colorado by the fantastic @milehighsofubi - Each is hand assembled and hand painted right here at The Black Lagoon Room.

Spicy orange, Mild green as well as three wild blind bag options available!

Don’t miss ’em - That would be a grave misfortune! 💀🥠

@designercon Official Podcast Origins: A Creative Journey Episode 6 - Making Monsters w/ Mile High Sofubi @milehighsofubi

Recorded originally the week before DCON 2023, we’re excited to bring you this convo with Paul Schiola, the sofubi man himself behind Mile High Sofubi. Paul shares about the blood, sweat, and tears that (literally) goes into making toys for many of DesignerCon’s creators, and his year-long journey of creative problem-solving to be the first soft vinyl toy factory based in the United States. Paul shares how monster movies and model kits led him to become the backbone of the modern neo-sofubi boom we’re seeing today.

Origins explores the origin stories behind the creative minds that build the worlds and make the
products you love. From tech to toys to animation to special effects to games.
Hosts @rickkitagawa and @digitalnoir_studio interview some of the biggest names, as well as some of the best kept secrets of the creative world. Find us anywhere you listen to Podcast. Music by @noelbeltran_
