BIO

Hello! My name is Mirian Arvunescu and I am a third year student at Gobelins Paris. I try to combine my passion for animation and political activism. My favourite medium is 2D Animation but I have a soft spot for collage and experimental animation. My main inspirations are the comic books I read as a middle-schooler and my personal experiences. I’m the nanny of 3 cats who really like my drawings.

WHAT WAS YOUR PROCESS?
I spent my high-school years in Bucharest, and in consequence a lot of afternoons in IOR Park, I took walks, I played badminton and fed geese, a lot of memories i greatly treasure. I saw with my own eyes how affected the retroceded zone was and this motivated me to participate in the project. When I listened to the audio for the first time I imagined a dream-like sequence interview with the inhabitants of the forest, a community of fairies affected by the logging. I chose to represent the fairies as a lawyer-figure to the animals and bugs that cannot speak for themselves and lost their home.

Module 2-Chimera

I really like how this video turned out. I kinda used all of my creative juices for this and completely gave up on the next module.

For the last image i really wanted to animate the flowers moving in after effects but it was 1am and I was very tired so I just settled with the clouds.

I hope you like it 🌸💐🌹🌻🌼🏵🥦 by @misaki.cherry

🥀🪦Module 1🪦🥀 ~The Necromancer's house.
Our litte necromancer lives in the woods, and as a part-time job, she manages the local cemetery. That way, she always has free matterial for her spells. But shhh the local people don't know that!

It took me 5 times to do the construction because the teachers were having a hard time helping me 🤩

My inspirations were the Matt Maeson EP-The Hearse and all the creepy places where I would love to live. by @misaki.cherry
