It’s truly an honor to serve the Baton Rouge community and be part of the continued energy, growth, and redevelopment happening in Downtown Baton Rouge 🚲✨

Thank you to @TheAdvocateBR for the recent feature and for highlighting the work we’re doing through Geaux Ride to create experiences that bring people together and encourage more people to explore downtown in a fun, active, and positive way.

A special thank you as well to the Downtown Development District (@DowntownBatonRouge) and Executive Director Whitney Hoffman Sayal for being such an important part of Geaux Ride’s continued growth and expansion in Downtown Baton Rouge. Your support, partnership, and belief in our vision means more than you know ❤️

From glow rides and community events to wellness programming and nightlife experiences, we’re excited about what’s ahead and grateful to continue building something special for the city we love.

The movement continues 🚲🔥

There are some people you never forget.

When we first opened Geaux Ride in 2020, one of the first people to walk through our doors was a young rider on a BMX bike. Big smile. Full of energy. Just excited that there was a bike shop downtown.

He asked to borrow some tools. I told him bring them back.

Next thing I knew, he was pulling up with his friends. Then more friends. Then groups of kids, all riding together.

He didn’t just show up. He brought community with him.

He reminded me of why Geaux Ride exists. To be an outlet. A safe space. A place where you can ride, breathe, and find peace, even when life is heavy.

And for him, life was heavy.

But when he was on that bike, you could see freedom. Fearless. Talented. A natural leader. The kind of energy you can’t teach.

I saw myself in him more than he probably ever knew.

This week, his life was taken too soon. And it hurts. It hurts for his family, his friends, and for all of us who got to experience his light.

I’m going to miss seeing him pull up. Miss that smile. Miss that energy.
But I’ll never forget what he showed us… that sometimes a bike is more than a bike. It’s peace. It’s escape. It’s community.

Rest easy, young king.

You were seen. You were valued. And you made an impact.

Geaux Ride will always be a place for riders like you.

We ask God for growth.

But growth requires new doors.

I had to learn that I couldn’t ask for expansion while holding on to what was comfortable.

This new space isn’t just a building.

It’s preparation.
It’s muscle.
It’s blueprint.

Geaux Ride didn’t start with walls.
It started with an idea.

And ideas don’t die.

🚲 Soft Opening – March
📍601 Laurel Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802
Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7PM
Fridays & Saturdays until 12AM (2AM if the vibe is right 😉)

There may be rough edges.

But every time you walk in, something will be better.

We fall down.
But we get up.

Baton Rouge — thank you for your patience.

The next chapter starts now.

Oh but God! @GeauxRideBTR has been awarded a $10,000 Backing Small Businesses Grant presented by @AmericanExpress in partnership with @natlmainstreet 🙌🏾

This funding helped us expand into a larger downtown Baton Rouge location, upgrade our mobility equipment, and strengthen our programming for youth and families across our community.

We are deeply grateful for this investment in our growth and our city’s future.
