There are some people you never forget.

When we first opened Geaux Ride in 2020, one of the first people to walk through our doors was a young rider on a BMX bike. Big smile. Full of energy. Just excited that there was a bike shop downtown.

He asked to borrow some tools. I told him bring them back.

Next thing I knew, he was pulling up with his friends. Then more friends. Then groups of kids, all riding together.

He didn’t just show up. He brought community with him.

He reminded me of why Geaux Ride exists. To be an outlet. A safe space. A place where you can ride, breathe, and find peace, even when life is heavy.

And for him, life was heavy.

But when he was on that bike, you could see freedom. Fearless. Talented. A natural leader. The kind of energy you can’t teach.

I saw myself in him more than he probably ever knew.

This week, his life was taken too soon. And it hurts. It hurts for his family, his friends, and for all of us who got to experience his light.

I’m going to miss seeing him pull up. Miss that smile. Miss that energy.
But I’ll never forget what he showed us… that sometimes a bike is more than a bike. It’s peace. It’s escape. It’s community.

Rest easy, young king.

You were seen. You were valued. And you made an impact.

Geaux Ride will always be a place for riders like you.

One of the things I’ve learned during this new chapter with @GeauxRideBTR is that entrepreneurship is never a solo journey.

When it came time to open a new space, I had the opportunity to work with someone who truly understood the vision and treated the process with professionalism and care.

I want to publicly thank Jolandra Cole McNeil and The Coleture for helping make this next chapter possible.

Throughout the process she:

• listened carefully to my concerns
• advocated for my interests during negotiations
• responded quickly when things moved fast
• and helped ensure I was protected every step of the way

Commercial real estate is more than square footage. It's about partnership, trust, and strategy.

I’m grateful for the guidance and professionalism she brought to the process, and I’m excited for what’s ahead for Geaux Ride in this new space.

I had to learn that I couldn’t ask for expansion while holding on to what was comfortable.

This new space isn’t just a building.

It’s preparation.
It’s muscle.

Oh but God! @GeauxRideBTR has been awarded a $10,000 Backing Small Businesses Grant presented by @AmericanExpress in partnership with @natlmainstreet 🙌🏾

This funding helped us expand into a larger downtown Baton Rouge location, upgrade our mobility equipment, and strengthen our programming for youth and families across our community.

We are deeply grateful for this investment in our growth and our city’s future.

My mother always taught me the value of education.

Watching Dr. Daniel in the classroom as a child showed me what was possible and planted a seed that has guided me through every season of my life.

Along the way, I learned that education is something no one can take from you. It’s an anchor. A foundation. A legacy.

I’ve always desired an advanced degree, but I also knew I wanted to learn from people who had done the work. People who had built businesses, signed leases, navigated setbacks, and created impact in the real world. I’ve remained a student throughout my entrepreneurial journey, learning by doing, listening, failing forward, and growing with intention.

I’m incredibly grateful to have found a program that aligns with everything I value: structure, mentorship, accountability, and purpose-driven growth. This next step feels like the perfect fit and a continuation of the legacy that inspired me in the first place.

Thank you to @OneDay_MBA for creating a space that truly walks alongside entrepreneurs and meets us where we are, while helping us grow the right way.

I’m stepping into this season with gratitude, humility, and excitement for what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. I’m so grateful and blessed to have you all to share this journey with.
