This Saturday, I had the opportunity to be apart of an important discussion with @openfairways @thestooppigeon @thephiladelphiasisters to talk how we as a community can use women’s sports growth to grow the game of women’s golf.

Y’all know I’m mainly a hooper, and the growth of women’s basketball speaks to how we all came together to push for better. This roundtable discussion gave different perspectives on what Golf is missing and how to empower more people to play.

It’s dope to be apart of a meeting of the minds to impact the next generation of athletes.

Yesterday, I stopped by the Metro by T-mobile store to see the impact @thehoopbus is making in Philly on the second stop of their 9-city tour with Metro by T-mobile.

The Hoopbus is committed to empowering the next generation with basketball. We started the Business of Basketball to give people access to create opportunities in this industry. The Metro Hoopbus by T-mobile is planting the seed for kids everywhere to be inspired by sport

One thing I’ve learned is to stop equating time with where I think I should be in life.

It’s easy to get caught up in social media, watching other people’s success and questioning why you haven’t reached certain milestones yet.

But everyone’s journey looks different.

Time gives you experience, but experience alone doesn’t guarantee success. It’s what you do with that experience that matters.

Keep learning, keep growing and focus on the value you are bringing along the way.

If you want to work in basketball, college basketball should be on your radar.

As the @ncaa landscape changes, schools are building out front offices so that they can compete with other institutions in recruiting and roster building.

And that means new career paths are being created outside of coaching.

If you’re a content creator trying to break into basketball, you might be looking in the wrong places.

Everyone wants to create content for the NBA, WNBA or the biggest sports brands.

Meanwhile, college athletics is quietly becoming one of the most interesting places to build a career in sports content.

Schools are investing in content studios and expanding creative teams because storytelling has become part of recruiting, NIL, sponsorships, athlete branding and fan engagement.

That’s the part of the changing college sports landscape that doesn’t get talked about enough.

And a lot of times, if you don’t have access to the information, you don’t even know these opportunities exist.

That’s where we come in.
