I think about how different my journey would have been when I graduated college if I knew about all the opportunities that existed in basketball outside of playing.

For so long, basketball was such a big part of my identity, and when that chapter ended, I had no idea what was next.

Looking back, I wish someone had introduced me to the business side of the game much earlier.

That’s why seeing something like what @emnrschoolnyc is building means so much to me.

And it’s a reminder of why I started The Business of Basketball platform.

There’s so much more to this game, and I want more people to know all the opportunities that are out there.

If you want to work in basketball, college basketball should be on your radar.

As the @ncaa landscape changes, schools are building out front offices so that they can compete with other institutions in recruiting and roster building.

And that means new career paths are being created outside of coaching.

If you’re a content creator trying to break into basketball, you might be looking in the wrong places.

Everyone wants to create content for the NBA, WNBA or the biggest sports brands.

Meanwhile, college athletics is quietly becoming one of the most interesting places to build a career in sports content.

Schools are investing in content studios and expanding creative teams because storytelling has become part of recruiting, NIL, sponsorships, athlete branding and fan engagement.

That’s the part of the changing college sports landscape that doesn’t get talked about enough.

And a lot of times, if you don’t have access to the information, you don’t even know these opportunities exist.

That’s where we come in.

As we wrap up the summer, we want to give a special shoutout to @phillyyouthbasketball for facilitating such a successful internship program with us. 🙌

This was our first time ever bringing interns onto the team in this capacity, and it did not disappoint. Our interns went through our first-ever 10-week cohort, where they started by shadowing our coaches and learning the ProBound way, then worked their way up to leading warmups, running drills, and building full session plans. By the end, they were leading entire training sessions on their own, start to finish.

ProBound had one of the best summers to date, and this partnership was a big contributor to the member experience. Here are a few photos of it in action. The timing couldn't have been better, right as we push into the next phase of growth here at ProBound.
