Ballet continues to give me more than I deserve…so blessed to have enjoyed an incredible experience being a member of the 2nd World Ballet Conference hosted at the United Nations in New York City! I presented on Biases in Ballet Training and was inspired by newfound colleagues from around the world! Congratulations to the UNCSA BFA Juniors for completing their Level 3 practice teaching with two lovely 11 year old Prep students! Guess what?! We are at time! Today, March 25 - tomorrow, March 26 is a special opportunity to give directly to the next generation of dancers in Preparatory Dance! Tuition fees cover instructional costs, but each picture represents where donations to the Prep for Dance Education Fund completes each dancer’s education experience: 1. $29,000 in financial aid and scholarships for the 25-26 school year, 2. All production expenses: costume rental, costume cleaning, and union professional sound and lighting technicians for Prep performances, 3. Studio 4 renovation with new barres and mirrors for Prep classes, 4. Guest artist classes with top industry professionals, 5. Festival and Competition entrance fees for the Advanced Training Program. Correction! Marissa McCullough, Director of UNCSA School of Dance Costume Shop just confirmed these are NOT the costumes from Mr. Lindgren’s Nutcracker. She is going to help us figure out what ballet we are dancing in this picture!
