I am thrilled to have been the MC and panel moderator at the first-ever Jobberman Forum for Persons with Disabilities in Ibadan! This groundbreaking event was a resounding success, filled with insightful discussions, empowering sessions, and invaluable connections.

From the powerful keynote address to the dynamic panel sessions and personalized one-on-one counseling, every moment was a step forward in our journey toward creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

A huge thank you to all our incredible attendees, speakers, and partners for making this event possible. Your active participation and enthusiasm truly brought our theme, “Empowered to Achieve More,” to life. We couldn’t have achieved this without you!

Love has the power to bridge gaps and overcome barriers! 💕🙌🏽

One year ago, on Valentine’s Day, we had the privilege of witnessing this amazing hip hop artist @staqk_g spreading love and joy to the Deaf community.

As a sign language interpreter, I was able to translate the lyrics of his song to the pupils, who were thrilled to experience the magic of music.

It was a heartwarming experience to see the power of music to connect people and spread love, even when language barriers exist. The pupils were delighted to have this talented artist perform for them and they were fully engaged in the experience. It was an unforgettable moment that highlighted the importance of inclusivity and diversity in our society.
I am excited to share this video again, in celebration of love and unity, and to honor the amazing Deaf community. 🤟🏽❤️

Let’s continue to spread love and positivity in the world, and remember that love knows no boundaries!

Today, we celebrate sign language, Deaf people, and the right to be included.

For us at Observer Signs Initiative, this day is more than just a celebration. It is a reminder of why we keep showing up, signing, learning, educating, and building a community where everyone feels seen and valued.

The theme, “Declaring Deaf People’s Human Rights,” speaks to something very important: Deaf people deserve the same rights, opportunities, access, respect, and dignity as everyone else.

We believe inclusion starts when we stop seeing sign language as a barrier and start seeing it as a language, a culture, and a bridge that connects people.
So today, and every day, let’s choose to learn.
Let’s choose to understand.
Let’s choose to include. 🤟🏽
