SIGNERS’ HANGOUT 2.0 💥✨

We’re still not over it- and honestly, we don’t want to be!

This unforgettable live event brought signers, learners, and Deaf advocates together in one vibrant, impactful space.
The energy was unmatched. The conversations were rich. The memories? Priceless!

Before this, we launched our bold 30-Day Sign Language Challenge -because we believe Deaf awareness shouldn’t be limited to just September. And the result? Testimonies, transformation, and a growing passion for inclusion.

To everyone who made it happen -
To our amazing sponsors, supportive partners, inspiring speakers, honorable judges, and every passionate participant - THANK YOU for being part of this movement. You didn’t just show up, you showed love, light, and leadership.

But this is just the beginning.

Dear YOU watching this, If you could do one thing to support the Deaf community, what would it be?

See you in the comment!

Still in the mood of the International Week of the Deaf and International Day of Sign Languages!

We’re bringing back beautiful memories from Signers Hangout 3.0, where we stepped out for an awareness walk to celebrate Deaf culture, raise awareness, and honour the power of sign language.

Every step, every sign, every connection - a reminder that inclusion begins when we choose to communicate.🤟🏽

Today, we celebrate sign language, Deaf people, and the right to be included.

For us at Observer Signs Initiative, this day is more than just a celebration. It is a reminder of why we keep showing up, signing, learning, educating, and building a community where everyone feels seen and valued.

The theme, “Declaring Deaf People’s Human Rights,” speaks to something very important: Deaf people deserve the same rights, opportunities, access, respect, and dignity as everyone else.

We believe inclusion starts when we stop seeing sign language as a barrier and start seeing it as a language, a culture, and a bridge that connects people.
So today, and every day, let’s choose to learn.
Let’s choose to understand.
Let’s choose to include. 🤟🏽

Happy International Day of Sign Languages! 💜
Here’s to same language, more inclusion, and a brighter future.

Just before our indoor activities, we stepped out to create awareness at the capital city of Lagos, Ikeja. We connected with people, and reminded everyone that Deaf people deserve to be seen, understood, included, and given equal opportunities.
