Attended the Australia-ASEAN Business Forum 2026

Three key insights:
1. Joey 🇵🇭: Circle prosperity: when you become successful, you help others so they become successful, and they will help others become successful as well.
2. Anoulack 🇦🇺: Attributes for success in a collaboration include trust, reliability, and mutual respect.
3. Sharon 🇦🇺 and Mai 🇻🇳: Adaptability is crucial in this era particularly in education. We are NOT in the period where we mitigate risks; we MANAGE them.

Favourite line
Tori 🇦🇺: Nowadays, cows DECIDE when they want to be milked. They go to the milking parlour by themselves.

I don’t usually go outside for enjoyment; rather, to pursue things done precisely right. For the record, Adelaide meets all my criteria.

Last Wednesday I represented @jakartainternationalenglish to lead a workshop titled ‘English Speaking Skills for the Workplace’ at @atamerica, Jakarta.

Together with my co-facilitator @aalyma__, we helped our audience of around 60 participants understand the importance of speaking English clearly and concisely during meetings and presentations in the workplace. We introduced the 3Ws (What, Why, and What’s Next) and PEEL (Point, Explanation, Evidence, Link) techniques to help improve unclear and overly verbose speeches. During these activities, we also challenged participants to prepare their own short speeches by providing work-related prompts, and even invited some of them to come on stage to present.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience to witness real-time improvements among the participants. On a personal level, it was also an important milestone for me to be able to share my knowledge on such a prestigious stage.
