Governor Abigail Spanberger’s trade mission to Europe with Virginia Secretary of Agriculture Katie Frazier included a stop in Paris to promote Virginia to current and prospective trade partners.

We were honored to represent Virginia agriculture by pouring three of our wines—Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, and Méthode—for guests at the reception. It was a privilege to showcase the quality and craftsmanship of Virginia wine while celebrating the enduring friendship between France and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Thank you to Governor Spanberger, Secretary Frazier, and the Virginia Department of Agriculture for the opportunity to represent Michael Shaps Wineworks and Virginia wine on an international stage.

Sunday December 21st, 3pm-7pm

Celebrate the longest night of the year with us at Michael Shaps Wineworks! The tasting room will be glowing, the bonfire crackling, and the atmosphere deeply cozy as we welcome winter with warmth, wine, and seasonal cheer.

🔥 What to Expect:
• Large outdoor bonfire
• Mulled wine steeped with holiday spices
• Fresh oysters shucked onsite by Oyster Catcher Sea Farms
• Festive s’mores to toast by the fire
• Seasonal holiday wine bundles perfect for gifting & gatherings

Wine Club members will also have access to VIP fire pit seating by reservation for a limited time, with general fire pit access opening to all guests on a first-come, first-served basis after that.

No reservations needed for the event itself — just come ready to relax, sip, and savor the season. 🥂
Feel free to bring your own camping chairs to enjoy comfortable seating around the main bonfire.
