POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Woke up this morning - after celebrating 6 years of Musang being open with my team and family - to the incredible and humbling news of being nominated as a semifinalist.

I don’t think that there are many words that can describe this journey of being an owner and a chef - and there’s definitely not a handbook of sorts that can prepare you for what this journey is about.

What I can say is that I am no one without the team that chooses to stand with me - day in and day out.

We talk about it with each other often - and it comes up that there are hard days - BUT the good days and the mission of pushing forward Filipino food is THE motivator and what drives us to keep doing what it is we truly love.

Grateful to be in the company of such amazing chefs and leaders in our industry.

This little Musang/Kilig/Wild Cats Sinigang gang is still out here - spreading our love, kindness, intention, storytelling and what being Filipino means to us.

Maraming Salamat ❤️ taken in Musang Seattle by @musangseattle

A Food & Wine Best New Chef in 2022 and a James Beard Award finalist in 2024, Melissa Miranda has earned national recognition for her cooking at Musang in Seattle’s Beacon Hill.

Her Filipino restaurant began as a pop-up and opened a permanent home in January 2020. When the pandemic closed its dining room, she opened a community kitchen to help keep people fed.

At the table, that same sense of care takes a personal form: pinakbet with tempura vegetables and pickled bitter melon, whole fried fish, and dishes carrying the memories of the people who first made them.

We speak with Miranda about family, Filipino flavors, and cooking toward home.

October is Filipino American History Month. 🇵🇭🇺🇸

And for us, history isn’t just something we read about. It’s something we carry, cook, share, and pass down.

At Musang, food is one of the ways we keep those stories alive. From the dishes we grew up eating, our childhood memories, to the flavors and traditions that connect generations, every plate is a little piece of where we come from.

Filipino culture has always been about making room at the table. We welcome you to come celebrate Filipino American history with us, one meal and one story at a time. 🍽️ taken in Musang Seattle by @musangseattle

This Sunday, September 27th, we have an extremely exciting collab for you all. We'll be curating another banger of a boodle/kamayan feast, this time with award winning chef Melissa Miranda (@meltronica) of Musang (@musangseattle) and Kilig (@kiligseattle), 2 of the top Filipino restaurants in America.

We'll be curating an unforgettable beach front feast in @puntadolores , followed by a majestic boat ride/swim/cocktail session around the mangroves of Malinao (Secret Beach).

It will be a day of free flowing cocktails from CEV, a one-of-a-kind beach front feast, and straight vibin' around the mangroves.

For inquiries and reservations, please send us a DM or whatsapp +639394008804. See you on Sunday, September 27 🤙🏼 taken in Siargao Island, Philippines by @musangseattle

Starting with the house fave: Kinilaw 🐟 If you know, you KNOW 👀🇵🇭

Fresh fish tossed with bright, citrusy flavors, this Filipino classic is the kind of appetizer that disappears FAST at any table.

What are you ordering first? 👀 taken in Musang Seattle by @musangseattle
