20+ years teaching Pilates. Then a back injury, and over a year of physical therapy. This is how Micki started again 👇🏼

No gym. No equipment. Just a chair and five minutes.

“It’s never too late to begin, and you don’t have to make up for lost time.” — Micki Price Havard (@mickiphit) 🤍

Try Micki’s seated march (from ChairPHIT®):
👉🏼 Sit tall in a sturdy chair, feet flat on the floor.
👉🏼 Lift one knee at a time, like marching in place.
👉🏼 Go for 30–60 seconds at a comfortable pace, holding the chair if you need to.

Send this to someone who keeps saying “I’ll start Monday.” It’s Monday. 😉

Comment “step 1” if you’re starting today.

Everyone starts at step 1. Even the people you look up to.

@goodgriefrunning wasn’t a runner when she signed up for a marathon in her mom’s honor. @kanoagreene used to feel like moving was a chore. Their full stories are on muvtoday.com.

What was your step 1? Tell us below. We read every one.

Meet Kanoa Greene (@kanoagreene).

When Kanoa began her fitness journey in 2015, she made a choice that changed everything. She would move from a place of loving her body, not trying to change it. Getting outside, especially hiking, became how she found her strength again.

Today she's a trainer, yoga teacher and surfer, and the founder of NAKOA Adventure (@nakoaadventure), which runs group adventure trips made by and for plus-size bodies.

What inspires us is how she moves for joy and for what her body can do, then opens the door so others can feel that too.

Swipe for Kanoa in her own words, and read her full story through the link in bio.

Thank you, @kanoagreene, for letting us share your journey.

"I never imagined that losing my mom would be the reason I started running."

After her mom passed, @sam_hendel signed up for a marathon in her honor. She wasn't a runner. In her words:

"I just knew I needed somewhere to put all the love, sadness, and grief I was carrying. I remember the first time I ran more than 10 miles. I completely broke down crying. It was the first time I realized that movement could be so much more than exercise. It could be a way to process, to heal, and to feel connected to someone I had lost."

That experience led her to start GOOD GRiEF, a running community built around the idea that we don't have to carry the hard things in life alone.

Her words for anyone just starting out: "You don't have to be a runner to start running. You don't have to be fit to start moving. You just have to start."

Thank you, @goodgriefrunning, for trusting us with your story. Read it in full on our website, link in bio.
