What a weekend! 🏳️‍🌈 Danced dressed as a fish 🐟 on the @brightonsurflifesavingclub float at Pride and it was wildly amazing. The vibe, the colours, the crowds — Brighton really said “go big or go home”.

Then @selfesteemselfesteem and @raye took the day to another level. Honestly, how lucky are we to live in a city that celebrates inclusion like it’s oxygen.

And just a reminder: Pride didn’t start as a party. It’s still a protest — for equality, for safety, for the right to exist loudly.

Love is love. ❤️

I’ve just sent my biggest wholesale order ever to my dream stockist. Emma and I have poured so much work into these past few months to make everything compliant and ready, and I still can’t quite believe it’s done. Then I reminded myself how long I’ve been building this little business with love and stubbornness. Today feels like a truly proud moment.

My week in pictures. I had a busy one!

🏊‍♀️ My first 5km swim in the River Adur. A learning experience on sighting and facing my fears of not finishing. Disclaimer: I did finish it on time @rawenergyman

🎶 Went to see the Mayor of Brighton and it was awesome. Thanks @officialfatboyslim

🌊 A fab Saturday morning paddling to the pier with pals and checking the barge @brightonsurflifesavingclub

💐 a new type of Dahlia came out in my garden and it’s so beautiful

🩱I tried a new sport it’s called surfski and I liked it. Did 8km on my first attempt. It’s a very light and fast vessel

Yesterday’s @holly.co regional meet‑up in Brighton was an absolute joy — bursting with energy, creativity, and the kind of magic that only happens when brilliant makers come together. I’m so proud to be part of this marketplace; if you haven’t explored it yet, it’s packed with incredible creators, artists, and makers doing truly fab things 💥

And @hollytucker what a force of nature. Every time I see her, I end up in full belly‑laughs, and yesterday was no exception. I’m honoured to have been part of Holly & Co since day one. Thank you, Holly — having you in my life is a privilege. 🤩

Two years ago I did this swim — the oldest Pier to Pier in Brighton organised by @brightonseaswimmers @slighty100

It was with the tide, and I finished 255th out of 278.

This year, swimming against a strong tide (very humbling!) I finished 57th out of 152 women in my category.
Out of 300 swimmers, I came 137th.
And from my squad — swimmers I admire, swimmers who are stronger than me — I finished only 3–4 minutes behind them. We had so much fun 🤩 You inspire me!

This is massive for me because in the last two years…

I swam through chaos
I swam carrying depression
I swam in the dark & unsociable hours
I swam in the cold
I swam with pain
I swam with a broken heart
I swam when I didn’t feel like a swimmer
I swam beside giants
I swam alone
I swam across borders
I swam because something in me refused to stop.

And that stubbornness paid off.
I’m not done — this is just beginning.

Today I’m very proud of myself 💪

It’s been a weird couple of months.
May always knocks me sideways, but this year came with a plot twist: on the anniversary of my mum, I’m also… not speaking to my dad, who then went and died recently.
(Honestly. The audacity. How dare he.)

But with spring came a few new resolutions — and a few surprises:

• Rediscovering dancing 💃🏽 I forgot how much joy there is in moving my body like no one’s watching. Turns out shaking your hips is cheaper than therapy. Right @hushbeatsdisco ?
• Learning the timeline of grief 😒Spoiler: this is only the beginning. Patience is apparently required. Rude.
• Overbooking swimming events 🌊 Then getting injured. So now I must “REST”. I’m unfamiliar with this concept.
• Finding joy in tiny things ☀️ Camping. Sunshine. Sand between my toes. An ice cream. Belly laughs with my kids. Ridiculously long voice notes with friends.

We’re here for such a tiny, ridiculous, beautiful blink of time.
Might as well enjoy the hell out of it, right.

Sometimes I’m amazed when people comment on the price of handmade pieces. I think many simply don’t realise the hours, care, and tiny decisions behind every layer.
