When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Well @officialdreakelly showed up and set my heart ablaze for dance again!

The passion, the poise under pressure, and just the overall presence was TOP TIER energy. Ladies, come out to class and do what you love — for you.

This experience has changed my mind about my own limitations and what I’m even capable of. Baby, I was training! I was sweating, being pushed to reach for more, and I was asked to show up! And not as something inauthentic but just as my full self.

I needed the reminder that my divine feminine deserves a soft place to land and I found it here. See you next month, teach!

Even after everything… the sun came out.

Some things change how you see yourself forever. There are versions of pain that completely rearrange a person. And my becoming cost me my old identity. My breakthrough was simply not giving up on myself.

Life changes without asking for permission. Healing is weird because sometimes you miss the version of you that was suffering. Heal anyway.

They thought I was gone be down and out, postpartum, struggling, and unfit. Chileeeee I could teach a class on “bounce back” fitness. I’ve had this whole summer in a CHOKEHOLD and I ain’t lettin’ UP!!

Remember that the next time someone walks up to you and just says anything. Or maybe when you randomly post today’s “drama” in the group chat. Perspective is gone slap ya in the face when you realize “the drama” was you the whole time.

In my soft girl, soft life era. Them sunflowers and okra is in my backyard right now. I pull from my own garden for dinner. I road trip and karaoke with my babies. They sing back to me. I smile way more these days — I mean, really smile! The sun is shining down on me. My baby knows how to pray. She in her “Amen” era aura. Sun son is 20 lbs breastfed, eating good. It’s all good in the (mother)hood. by @myselfembodied
