Eleven years ago today, I was bestowed the highest honor of joining the motherhood club. It didn’t come with a manual or a handbook. Instead, it’s a journey I’ve navigated through lived experience, making daily choices to be intentional and avoid causing harm or passing down generational trauma. It has been an honor to raise such a beautiful, kind-hearted human being. She is goofy, funny, smart, loving, and so much more. I couldn’t have asked for a better little human and best friend who looks up to me and relies on me to support her while also giving her the creative space to be herself, grow through life’s many phases, and know that I’ll be there for her no matter what.

Shout out to my village of family & friends too because one person cannot do it alone, real MVP’s know themselves 🤲🏾🫶🏾✊🏾.

Happy Birthday to my sunshine, my heartbeat & Rich Best Friend Asè.
