Hit a new PR today and I’m feeling good!! 🙌🏽✨🏆

I’ve recently been trying to identify what kind of runner I want to be (a casual runner, someone who does races, etc..) and what I’ve come to realize is simple: I want to run for me. I want to run for my health, physical and mental. I want to run because I like to challenge myself and do hard things. I want to run because it makes me feel good, in all ways! Will I run a race one day soon? Definitely, because again, I like to challenge myself but that’s no longer the only goal. I’m really competing against myself. Running to improve my own ability, not anyone else’s and I feel good about that. I loveee how far my running journey has come in these past two years and how it’s improved other areas of my life. I’ve shown up for myself in ways I didn’t know I could & and for that, I am so proud. I want running to be a life long journey (God willing) and for now, the only goal is to continue to show up, show out and improve, for myself and only myself…. & I love that for me.

31 days of straight running!! That means 31 days of commitment. 31 days of showing up for myself. 31 days of moving my body!! A body that never let me down and allowed me to run a 5K a day for an entire month!! I am so blessed and so proud of myself for always challenging my own limits and pushing myself to do hard things. I am strong. I am disciplined and I can do anything I put my mind to. Although running is physical, it’s also VERY mental and I love that no matter what happens in life, I continue to prove to myself that am mentally strong to do any and ALL things. Cheers to Day 31 of 3.1 for 31!! 🙌🏽✨✅

Note: That’s a total of 96.1 miles for the month of March (& some days I did more than a 5K)!!
