One of the biggest differences I noticed with the Force USA Solitude is how much tension it keeps through the top of the prone leg curl.

A lot of combo machines feel solid through the middle of the rep and then get noticeably easier as you shorten the hamstring. This one stays heavy all the way through and gives you a really strong contraction at the top.

The center-drive design also keeps the resistance feeling really even between both legs, which I like a lot.

Most air bikes are basically built for one thing: intervals.

That’s where the REP STRIVE’s adjustable resistance changes things.

I can drop the VPR down and use it for a longer Zone 2 ride, move into the middle settings for more traditional air-bike conditioning, or crank it all the way to Level 8 for short max-effort intervals.

That’s what I like most about this bike. You’re not locked into one style of cardio.

And for reference, REP’s testing found Level 5 is the closest match to the Rogue Echo Bike.

How many machines can we replicate with the @beyondpowerofficial Voltra? 👀

No stack. Small footprint.
Just smooth tension and full stretch with added bonus of eccentric overload and inverse chains.

Better stimulus and all in this one versatile piece.

Back support is the REP Fitness Pegasus.

50 lbs doesn’t always equal 50 lbs on a cable machine.

A lot of that comes down to pulley ratio.

With a 1:1 ratio, 50 lbs on the stack gives you roughly 50 lbs of resistance at the handle.

With a 2:1 ratio, that same 50 lbs gives you roughly 25 lbs, but you also get more cable travel.

That’s one of the features I’ve been playing around with on the new Vesta Fitness V-Force rack. You can switch between 1:1 and 2:1 depending on what you’re training.

I’ll probably use 2:1 more for things like lateral raises, fly variations and accessory work, then switch over to 1:1 when I want more resistance for rows, pulldowns and heavier movements.

Still putting this thing through its paces, but this is a pretty cool feature.

Heavy rows have always been one of my favorite back movements.

Nothing complicated here. Load the bar, throw on the Versa Gripps, and get to work.

I’ve been using the REP STRIVE VPR a lot lately, and I wanted a way to keep my phone right above the monitor.

So I made one.

I designed and 3D printed this phone mount specifically for the REP STRIVE VPR Air Bike. It sits right above the monitor, keeps the phone easy to see, and stays out of the way while you’re riding.

It took quite a few test prints to get the fit where I wanted it, but I’m really happy with how this version turned out.

Now the real question…

Should I make these available for other STRIVE owners?

The Speediance rower definitely doesn’t feel like a traditional rower.

The digital resistance is incredibly smooth, and despite using two attachment points instead of one, it feels surprisingly natural and balanced.

One of my favorite features on the Gym Monster 2 so far.

Zone 2 to absolute misery. Same bike. 🚴‍♂️

The REP Strive’s Variable Pitch Resistance lets you change how the fan feels, not just how hard you pedal. Easy aerobic work and brutal intervals- all on the same bike.

Current Olympic weightlifting status:

Hook grip: painful 😩
Timing: rusty
Mobility: we’re working on it
Confidence: gone missing

But I’m having fun getting back into it.

I’ve been wearing the @versagripps Hyperbelt instead of my leather belt for these sessions and it just makes sense for this style of training.

Comfortable enough for higher-rep work, easy to adjust between sets, and I’m not walking away with my hips and ribs beat up afterward.

Follow along for the journey!

I could only keep ONE leg extension / leg curl machine in the gym… so I let my clients decide.

Most of them had been using the Temple of Gainz machine for close to 2 years. When the Force USA Solitude came in for review, I put every one of them on it without giving them any of my thoughts beforehand.

Every single person picked the Force USA.

The biggest differences? The 1:1 weight stack made it feel noticeably harder, which was a bit of an ego check 😂, they preferred the feel of the center-drive position and thought the set up was more comfortable.

And yes… the Temple of Gainz ended up leaving the gym.

This @mikolofitness budget leg extension / leg curls machine has some of the best range of motion I’ve tested, period.

Full extension on quads, deep stretch at the bottom of the leg curl. No half reps here.

I’ve used the Lionscool leg press / hack squat for the last few weeks with both my own workouts and my clients, and for a machine around $800, I’m pretty impressed.

It’s not premium. There’s some flex, the safety positions could be better, and really strong lifters may eventually run out of loading room.

But for most home gym owners, the leg press is smooth, the hack squat feels great, and you get a lot of functionality for the price.
