Three radio friends walk into a recording studio…

It was a delight to catch up @shashashamilton and @michellemovearoundforanhour at @eastweststudios and swap stories from our time working in LA Radio!

The occasion was an epic send off for the one and only @candace.stewart.9659. Candace was one of my first friends in LA. She was kind, she was gracious, & she was unapologetically loud. I knew we would become fast friends. Over the years she has been an incredible mentor and friend. I will miss her dearly as she embarks on a new adventure in South Carolina. I would have loved to have taken a photo with Candace, but the recording studio was filled to the brim! It was wonderful catching up with so many engineers and producers. I love eavesdropping on conversations in the hallway where people casually say oh I recorded with Barbra Streisand in studio one. This studio means so much to me as well as all of the employees. It has been my safe place for many years thank you Candace for everything you’ve given to me and I hope to see you soon!

One of the best art exhibitions I’ve seen this year! A true triumph for all the artists part of “Artifacts from an Unborn Empire” curated by @jasonjennartist & @mr.voicelove at the @brandlibrary.

“Artifacts from an Unborn Empire gathers artists to reconsider how civilizations are formed and who gets to define them. Through a range of natural and manufactured materials, they play with and challenge the systems, stories, and symbols that shape our sense of power, history, and belonging.”

Hi, I’m Nicole. I work one-on-one with artists to build the skills and confidence they need to promote themselves and grow their careers. We work on essential Instagram skills so they feel more comfortable showing up and sharing their work online.

Your online presence is often the first impression you make on a curator, gallerist, or collector. I help make sure your Instagram and website clearly communicate who you are and what you do.

Together, these skills help artists increase their visibility, build meaningful connections, create new opportunities, and ultimately sell more work.

If you’re interested in working with me, send me a message. I’d love to learn more about your work. 🎨 by @nicoleslaterconsulting

The Mighty Pumpkin is taking off! I have 2 pumpkins on the vine, one is the size of a basketball, the other a softball. Both pollinated on the same day. What will happen next? Stay tuned!

Bendix Art Night was a vibe! It was so great seeing so many artists and clients thriving. Too many shows to list, but some standout pieces were from @valeriewilcox_art @victoria.may.art @nlivanhoe @palomaresblvd @less_legs @awprudhomme @meganmarchstudio.

It was also wonderful catching up with Genie Davis @justlikepattismith about her new gallery and @marinaclairestudio on her recent shows. What a great night.

Today was about 10 years in the making. I was invited by @munsonchops to sit in at a music industry wine club and it did not disappoint! First stop - @eastweststudios in Hollywood to pick up Keith & Steven. Then onto the magical land of Calabasas to meet the rest of the crew at BLVD. Excellent food! Then the fun part, a blind taste of Syrah’s from 2020 or older. My favorite was Ellis Sorkin’s pick a 2011 Eisele Vineyard and mine, a 2020 Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz.

Overall an incredible experience… the only thing missing was @candace.stewart.9659! by @nicoleslaterconsulting

There is nothing like getting away for the weekend with a wonderful group of ladies! We stayed on a beautiful farm where they grow oranges and dragon fruit. Now that I’m officially rested, I can get back to helping my clients share their message with the world. I love teaching creative how they can use social media, email marketing and business networking! Huzzah! by @nicoleslaterconsulting

Giant pumpkin update! 🎃 It’s doubled in size since the last time you saw it. I switched up my fertilizers to promote blooms and fruit (aka adding more Phosphorous and Potassium) Now we wait for a female flower to bloom so we can get a baby pumpkin! taken in Los Angeles, California by @nicoleslaterconsulting

What a powerful weekend in at @willowpondslo with @kipaipaiworkshops! It was an honor to work one-on-one with such an incredible group of artists, helping them build confidence around marketing their own work.

My favorite moment is seeing that glimmer in a their eye realizing that marketing is not that hard, and with a little intention, it can be a powerful tool to use!

So grateful to be part of their journey!

So this is 40… well, almost. Officially on Thursday!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with me. My goal for this party was to bring together people from all the different chapters of my life.

Watching friends from the fine art world, pro audio, spiritual circles, video games, ’80s dance class, axe throwing, comedy and live events all meeting, laughing, and connecting was incredibly special. It reminded me how lucky I am to be surrounded by such a wonderfully eclectic community.

My heart is so full. Thank you for helping me kick off this new decade in the best possible way. ❤️

Pumpdate: We got a vine! The pumpkin has been successfully trained to go in a semi straight line. It’s not quite laying down yet, but it will shortly once it hits the ground I will start burying the vine so it can create new roots! The biggest issue right now is pests - the leaf miners have found out how delicious the leaves are. I am spraying with Neem oil, but it doesn’t seem to be making a difference. Tom is supervising as always. taken in Los Angeles, California by @nicoleslaterconsulting
