🗣️Shop update!
Some of our 2026 issues have landed in the shop & ready to ship!
★ Issue 25: Community, Of The Land, & Winter Wails: “One of the things I love the most about horror is its ability to unpack the weight of reality and funnel the emotions that come with through art. That is a great and wonderful gift, is it not? I wholly believe that these mediums shift our perspectives and begin to knit together that collective consciousness into something that we can all experience as one. I think that is why horror keeps becoming more and more of a hot genre. It sparks conversation.”
★ Issue 22: Horror in the Light — “When the sun is beaming and the landscapes and dress are in full bloom, there is an illusion that there is nothing to be hidden.”
★ Issue 21: Murderous Mavens — “Femininity has no bounds, no barriers or boxes to operate within. Dig into the darkness within you, the parts you’ve been told to hide away. There is a reason why it is so sacred, but now we must use it as a force for good.“
★ Issue 20: Horror Noire: “This year of intention references this ancestor’s strength and this magick within is what many in the Black community are currently reaching for in an effort to renew themselves.”

🚨For those who have ordered issue 25, your copy is on the way!!

Introducing the Issue 25 guest columnists! We are honored to feature these incredible contributors and their compelling essays! Swipe to check them out —>

@damiendysania — The Self-Actualizing Prophecies of The Craft 🔮

What wasn’t known then is seen now. The Craft is a masterclass in what happens when we seek external solutions for our internal problems. Damien reminds us that facing the pain becomes a necessary part of healing.

@scaremeserenlee — Good Girl: Sit. Bite 🩸

In the age of the “Trad Wife,” Seren Lee asks, “What does it mean to be good?” Horror reshapes the Good Girl from a victim in wait into something liberated and bloodthirsty.

@moviegoodormoviebad — Finding Acceptance and Faith in Evil in The Wailing 🫀

Faith shapes one man who lives through the horrors of humanity in the Korean horror film The Wailing. James pushes audiences to see that faith wears many, many faces.

@silkymochi — The Dark Muses Winter Style Guide 🧛🏼‍♀️

Winter is falling upon us sooner than we think and, in some places, freezing the hottest looks. Silkymochi has our backs with dark muse fashion musts inspired by your favorite archetypes.

From the bottom of our creepy little hearts…THANK YOU!

We are so humbled by such an overwhelming response to our short story competition! We received far more submissions than we anticipated, so we are giving ourselves a bit more time to read and review each and every story.
All authors, including our winners, will be notified of our decision via email in the first few weeks of September. The three winners will also be announced publicly in mid-September, ahead of our October 1st release!

As a reminder, our pre-orders are open! Early bird pricing is available until 9/24, after which the price will increase and purchases will be processed as our standard a la carte orders. Have any questions? Email us at nightterrormag@gmail.com
