✨ We should all be celebrating!If anything, let’s take a moment for Gregory Gourdet and me, both wearing @thombrowne without planning to wear the same designer. So grateful that Tia (Kann’s intriguing & mysterious co-owner) encouraged me to splurge and buy this archival Thom Browne jacket, a wonderful conversation starter!A lot is going on these days, making it challenging to find the magic at times. Though let me remind you, A PORTLAND RESTAURANT WAS JUST NAMED ONE OF @theworlds50best in NORTH AMERICA. The only PNW US restaurant to be in the 50 best. It’s independently owned and operated. The team works tirelessly to deliver excellence through service and a celebration of Haitian culture & cuisine. @kannrestaurant is more than all that and their well deserved accolades. Kann is Chef @gg30000’s love letter and commitment to Portland. We are incredibly fortunate.Congratulations again and again, Team Kann!! I’m so proud of all of you. Tia, Gregory, I am FOREVER inspired by you. ✨I guess aging isn’t that bad.I really should reframe it as a privilege. Being a full adult allowed me (and my husband) to fund a spring girls’ trip to Paris and Champagne. Being a full adult has given me the experience that led me to fulfilling friendships with people like @raiseaglasswine ❤️ We trade time and youth for everything in our lives, good and bad. And if this is the path I’m on while I rack up the years and miles, I’m feeling charmed and hopeful. So inspired and excited by the culinary & wine industry! I’ve been around A LOT of big names in food and wine this year! It’s been a year of firsts for me. I mean, I’ve been in this space for a while and I’ve gone to countless events like Feast, Hot Luck (which just got acquired by F&W through @peopleinc!), and others, but this year was the first I’ve been luckily able to attend events presented by @foodandwine If you love wine and you love food, I think festivals like these are well worth the investment.
