After joining us for our 5th Anniversary gig, our Sofar alumnus was back for August — and boy, did he bring the groove!

His set had the room moving, singing along and completely caught up in the moment. The kind of set where you don’t just listen to the songs… you find yourself becoming part of them.

50 GIGS. HALF A CENTURY OF SOFAR GOA. ONE UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT. ❤️🎶

September marked a very special milestone for Sofar Sounds Goa — our 50th gig! Half a century of bringing intimate live music experiences to Goa. We celebrated it at a picturesque little corner of Salvador Do Mundo where green fields and an endless sky seemed to play with each other as we began the evening. 🌿☁️🎶

Our home for the night was @sensible.earth — a collectively driven organisation nurturing ideas and action towards a planet where human activity isn’t just resource neutral, but resource positive. And what a beautiful setting it was to gather, listen and celebrate live music.

As the evening unfolded, our incredible artists @anukritising.h @sharlaine.music @rocketrajamusic brought their own sound, stories and energy to the room, while our lovely audience gave them all the love they deserved. There were voices joining in, feet keeping time and plenty of smiles all around. ❤️

And then there was @siacafegoa making sure the music had some serious competition! 😋 Their dhabeli, vada pav and delicious munchies fuelled both our bodies and souls.

A big cheers to our drink partners @roarwithsimba @soberandcoindia and @terrysentme for keeping everyone refreshed and grooving through the evening. 🍻

But we have to talk about the newest addition to the Sofar bar — the Terry Sent Me Afterglow Edition. 💚 Distinctly green. Fresh with cucumber and honeydew melon. 🥒🍈
We tasted it, we loved it, and judging by how quickly everyone got into the groove, so did the crowd! Definitely a crowd favourite and one Afterglow we’re happy to remember. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to @sanjivkhandelwal and the entire Sensible Earth team for opening up this beautiful space and hosting us so warmly.

And to our amazing artists, volunteers and every one of you who showed up— thank you for bringing your energy, your curiosity and your love for music.

September was one for the books. A gig to remember, in a setting we won’t forget anytime soon. ❤️🎶

Too much excitement in the house yesterday....sadly this Baby Cobra entered the stairway to our house and before i knew all our Hautamaki Puppies rushed to it. Hearing the chaos thought a bird or cat had entered through the grill gate, but it turned out to be a cobra. And there's no way I was going close to rescue a cobra. So I do feel bad for it, having developed a certain sense of responsibility, respect and courage towards snakes too, thanks largely to our move to Goa & a talk by Benhail Antao.

Also the scene was our indie Madam Sheeba along with the other 3 half husky Hautamaki Puppies killed the baby Cobra that entered our stairway..... Ebony our other indie kept cheering on the other 4 from a short distance and i kept screaming in panic from a very long distance
As to be honest I wanted them to let it go as I was more worried that it would bite them back.

Ah well, now the wild monsoon jungle has been cleared today, which in turn will hopefully reduce the snake population....but I know that living in Goa and lucky to be living amongst God's beautiful scenery & other living beings means, one just has to accept such things. Just very grateful that all 5 doggos are alive & well.

When I sometimes wonder about why I do the things I do....I just have to look at all these beautiful memories, created with beautiful people ❤️

August month was a celebration of 3 Sofar Goa Team members....and Yes...of course there was cake and a lot of enthusiastic if not In Tune singing.
Happy Birthday again Nerine, Chintan & Ved 🎉🎊🎂

A reunion of old team members in Bombay...I missed it 😥

And of course for the ones that hung post our August gig, there was even more music with guests, artists & the team joining in.... Loving It 😍

This Bombay trip was looooong overdue....and had tons of people to catch up with so it was definitely a fun & memorable one.

Visiting Yoko's on the evening I landed to catch up late night with friends who were on a post Scorpions gig High...to realizing that I need to get this friend's kid who is now much older into my team for a quiz night...especially if it's music round as he would kick my ass if he was in another team...😁

Didn't grab a drink with my favourite drinking partner this time...but hopefully next time I will...please tell aunty Vicky 😊

From meeting the PM of Vakola Shaun to meeting one of the kids Arif whom i used to teach as a volunteer to walking across the tiny bylanes of Bandra to see how they weren't joking about the Coffee places dotted on even the tiniest of space. And every 2nd place seemed to serve a Korean Bun...so had to try it.

Then an evening at Otters Club with another bunch of really old friends, thanks Sanju for making the plan happen. The Blue Lighting on the Coconut Trees there made me feel like Im right back in Goa at one of those shady late night party spots for sure 😁

The Powai Gang of Arpana, Arindam & the Bostoks of course...joined in by Praful meant that the night was definitely going to be full of crazy conversations, made laughter & great memories 😍

To grabbing a Frankie....how i had missed you...and Fried Wontons & American Chopsuey Bombay style of course 😍
These are just a few of my favourite things to indulge in when in Bombay!

A few weeks back had gone to Pune on work after nearly 12 odd years and how the city has changed!
Metro, new bridges, roads & buildings so the city was practically unrecognizable, especially from my Boarding School Days in the 80s & 90s.
The hotel I was put up in, called now Sheraton which I remember staying there earlier when it was Le Meridien.

But, work was fun and so was catching up with old friends...that go back decades.
Was so much fun hanging out with you guys @mineraleurope

Met up with Raghav from Delhi Sofar team who also happened to be in Pune.

A trip to Pune cannot be without a visit to my school Principal & my favourite Teacher, both who always were and still are mother figures to me. And of course Rushad whom I have known since he was in Primary School.

Checked out quite a few new places too in the city & honestly the Funniest one was a Club called 'Ballerz' which at my age i felt like I was entering a Virar Fast Local.... 😁

Tried some new Beers at Microbrewery Oi, even went to the Pune Branch of Elephant & Co and on the day itself when Madhav of Miguel's happened to be doing a Pop Up with some Goan flavours. And of course my fav duo 'Two of Us' also were performing there 😍

And of all things bumped into my much younger cousin's friend whom when I last saw was a kiddo and now is married and a Dad ...Congratulations again Raunak.

And of course had to carry some Urrak & Terry for peeps there!

Ang giggled loudly as always on seeing the 'Bhosari' signboard 🤣

Thanks a ton all of you that made this Pune trip unforgettable.

Throwback to the Cashew Fest 2026 a few weeks back......of course meeting a bunch of friends....some that I may not have met in ages is always the Best part, followed of course by lots of #urrak & #feni 😍

Definitely a lot of dancing after ages...
Followed by great live music & even more dancing at Bebde's 🎷

As always the sound system at the Festival and the quality of artists is debatable....so this time Ankur, the Doggo Milo & myself decided to give competition 😁
