Ignorance can no longer be used as an excuse. There are so many ways to learn about what’s happening to my people. There are so many books that help you unpack the atrocities that have been committed against us. Please seek out knowledge. Inform yourself. Educate those around you. Speak up. Speak out. Call your representatives. Help us. by @notdahliat
Our country. Our land. Our home. Remember, none of this started on October 7, 2023. Our great grandparents were forcibly displaced from our homes and killed in 1948. 70+ years of this. by @notdahliat
A healthy Democracy depends on people and institutions being willing to use the independence they have even when someone powerful wants them to fall in line. Having power doesn’t automatically mean everyone else has to comply. Sometimes, you can just say no. . . . . #firstamendment #breakingnews #news #politicalnews #democracy by @notdahliat
A Pentagon proposal tied to this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is raising important questions about religious freedom and access to support for members of our military. Military chaplains serve people across faith traditions and those with no religious affiliation. So as Congress considers protections for chaplains’ sincerely held religious beliefs, there’s another question worth paying attention to: How do we protect those beliefs while ensuring every service member can access the support they need? Please check out Americans United’s video breaking down the issue and what the proposal could mean for service members. Instagram: @americansunited AU Video link in bio Like and share this info on the NDAA proposed changes with your community so more people know this conversation is happening and understand what’s happening in our Government • • • • #domesticpolicy #religiousfreedom #politicalcommentary by @notdahliat
If Robert was actually focused on combining antisemitism, that would be amazing. Instead he’s using his wealth to silence artists AND conflate critique of Isr**l with antisemitism. He’s apparently & allegedly decided that any discussion or talk of Pa|est!ne is unacceptable. “It is not controversial to affirm that cancelling human rights advocates for saying Free Pa|est!ne doesn’t protect Jewish people. It protects Israel from accountability.” -Paloma Faith by @notdahliat
A culture so rich. A love so deep. A people who, generation after generation, have fought to hold onto what was stolen from us. We are more than a headline. More than a moment. More than a trend. We are memory. We are culture. We are beauty. We are laughter. We are grief. We are resistance. We are a powerful love passed down through generations. We are still here. And we are everything and more. Stand with us, fight with us and don’t forget about us ❤️‍🔥 by @notdahliat
Macklemore Censorship Pt 1: I have a lot to say on this, but I really wanted to focus on Ed Sheeran’s alleged “I don’t pick sides” comment as I’ve grown tired of individuals opting to remain silent in the face of injustice and framing what’s happening to my people as nuanced or complicated. There is no picking a side here as it’s quite literally an oppressive colonial entity vs an oppressed group of people. If you’re incapable of picking “a side” in the face of human suffering, when do you decide to take a stand? I also want to talk about the conflation of anti zio with antisemitism. When are we going to stop conflating criticism of a foreign government with antisemitism? There is a clear difference. I’m going to save this for the next video but it’s essential that we consider the broader implications of this discourse and the continued censorship we are facing as Americans. by @notdahliat
