In 2019, ride-hailing for women in Egypt was nearly impossible, and very few women could ride a scooter. @nouranalyfarouk, built @dosybikes to change that.

Nouran is the Founder & CEO of Dosy, 2026 Global Good Fund Fellow and a finalist for WOMEN IN TECH ® Global’s Most Impactful Initiative Award - MENA region. Through her platform, 3,000+ women earn as drivers, instructors, and delivery riders.
Swipe for her story.

It has been a pleasure to deliver the keynote speech at the UN Tourism Tech Adventures: Women in Tech Startup Competition (Middle East 2nd Edition) in Riyadh.

I also had the chance to listen to insights from Muzzammil Ahussain (@almosafertravel_sa ), Maya Ayoub (@womenintechorg), Andrea Azzolari (@plugandplaytc), Taryn Andersen (@impulse4women), and Jiskala Khalayli (@qbwa_businesswomen).

The highlight was watching six innovative startups pitch their groundbreaking solutions:
@ Dosy from Egypt
@ BuzzAr from Saudi Arabia
@ Olive Gaea from UAE
@ ZeNN Ai from Oman
@ StayK from UAE
@ Darent from Saudi Arabia

Special thanks to #UNTourism’s leadership team - Samer Bin Ibrahim Alkharashi, Regional Director for the Middle East, @antoniolopezdeavila, Director of Innovation, and Reem Almarzouqi from @ TDF Grow - for their commitment to fostering innovation in the region.

This is why our partnership with @unwto and @unwtoacademy is so meaningful – together, we’re not just talking about change, we’re actively building bridges for women entrepreneurs to scale their impact globally.

Congratulations to the winners!

#WIAYoungLeaderSpotlight Some women see gaps and fill them. Others build bridges so that thousands can cross.

Dr. Nouran Farouk (@nouranalyfarouk) is one of them — a physician and social entrepreneur from Egypt who is redefining what empowerment looks like for women and girls.

She co-founded @dosybikes, Egypt’s first tech-based platform empowering women in the micromobility space. Through the initiative, she has trained over 8,000 women to ride scooters and bicycles, created 3,000+ green jobs, and helped reduce 600 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year.

For Nouran, mobility is not just about transportation — it’s about freedom, opportunity, and progress. Her work is proof that when women move, entire communities move with them.

Today, we celebrate Nouran Farouk, a 2025 WIA Young Leader whose vision continues to inspire a more inclusive, sustainable future. 💜

Some places hold stories that go beyond what we see 🖤

Mughal Gate in Rajasthan was once a resting place for Emperor Akbar during his hunting journeys and travels to Ajmer. Built centuries ago, it still carries traces of a time when emperors, kings and royal caravans travelled across these lands. ✨✨✨

Meet Nouran Farouk!

We continue introducing our 2026 Fellows🥹

Nouran is a physician and social entrepreneur, and the Founder & CEO of Dosy — the first women-led mobility platform in Egypt and the MENA region. Her mission: reimagining how women move safely and independently, by tackling the everyday barriers of safety, affordability, and access in transportation.

Nouran founded Dosy after living through these barriers herself — from unsafe, male-dominated ride-hailing services to unreliable public transport. Today, she’s building a safer, more inclusive mobility ecosystem in Egypt, while creating real economic opportunities for women as instructors and drivers along the way.

Welcome, Nouran — we’re proud to have you in the 2026 cohort within Global Fellows in Courage!
