Congratulations to Chef Nicholas Dixon and the talented team at Dalia. The South Boston tapas spot was just named to the @nytimes 2026 Restaurant List.

From the team behind @primabos, @capribos, @huntersboston, and more, the concept is Chef Dixon’s most personal and ambitious project to date, drawing on years of experience and time spent exploring Spanish cuisine and culture.

An immediate fan favorite when they opened their doors in early April, Dalia brings a Spanish-inspired menu that’s centered around the energy and ritual of cooking over an open flame.

The open layout allows guests to engage directly with the cooking process, reinforcing the restaurant’s focus on simplicity, sourcing and technique while creating a natural sense of movement and connection throughout the space.

DALIA, SOUTH BOSTON ✨

There are restaurants you go to for dinner, and then there are restaurants where dinner feels like just the beginning of the night.

Dalia is very much the latter.

This chic addition to the neighborhood is inspired by Spanish tapas, wood-fired cooking, and the Spanish tradition of sobremesa, lingering around the table long after the meal is finished, talking, sharing another drink, and letting the evening unfold. Dalia was designed around exactly that feeling.

And it works.

The entire restaurant centers around its open kitchen, and if you ask us, the chef’s counter is the best seat in the house. The menu is a wood-fired celebration of the land and sea, with ingredients sourced from Spain and a genuinely no-skips lineup.

Everything we tried was incredible, but a few dishes really stayed with us.

The pluma ibérico with passionfruit was an immediate standout. The richness of the meat against the bright, tangy sweetness of passionfruit made for such an unexpected and memorable combination.

The confit cabbage was another surprise, transforming a humble ingredient into something deeply flavorful and memorable. The txistorra brings that unmistakable Spanish flavor, while the hamburguesitas are the kind of bite that makes ordering another round feel like the only reasonable decision.

In other words: don’t come here expecting to play it safe.

The team behind @DaliaBoston is also behind @CapriBos and @PrimaBos, and that shared DNA is easy to recognize: beautiful spaces, thoughtful food, and hospitality that makes you want to settle in.

Chef & Owner @npdixon always takes such good care of us, often surprising us with an invitation to try one of his latest creations and our guy Matthew is one of those servers who instantly makes an evening better. Absolutely the best.

And this is where Dalia really gets the sobremesa part right.

Finish dinner with a cocktail, then head downstairs to Leopard Lounge. Sexy, energetic, and intimate, it feels like a completely different chapter of the evening. It’s the kind of place where one drink can easily turn into another.

And when the night is finally over, there’s always tomorrow.
