In 2021, I blew the whistle on what I was seeing: safety signals being underreported, a safe drug being suppressed when patients requested it, and a system pushing coercion over choice. For speaking up, I faced 18 board complaints for ‘misinformation.’ I wasn’t spreading lies—I was reporting what I witnessed. That’s when I knew: ethics wasn’t optional. It was a calling. I started @nursesoutloud in 2022 because every nurse deserves the framework to see what’s wrong, name it, and act on it—without losing their license or their livelihood. This bundle is the course I needed then. It’s the course you need now. If you’ve felt the pressure to stay silent, been punished for speaking truth, or wondered if your ethical obligations actually matter—this is your starting point. Real-world ethics. Real consequences. Real courage. Link in bio to get started. Have you READ The Nursing Code of Ethics? by @nursesoutloud
If you don’t see the problem with this you’re one of them. by @nursesoutloud
👉🏻Our current government officials recently announced a $275 million initiative to recruit and retain nursing home nurses through student loan repayment and stipends… but incentives alone will not fix the conditions driving nurses away. 🚨They are so out of touch with what everyday Americans and bedside nurses experience that they think throwing money at the problem will fix everything. We do not need more money thrown at a “nursing shortage”… we need to address the shortage of nurses willing to continue working in an abusive “system.” 🤑Recruitment incentives will not fix unsafe staffing, toxic workplaces, moral injury, or burnout. 💁‍♀️Start by addressing the ROOT CAUSES of why nurses are unwilling to work in these conditions. Listen to the nurses. #MoralInjury #NurseAdvocacy #MedicalIndustrialComplex #FlorenceNightingaleWouldBeRollingInHerGrave by @nursesoutloud
I was willing to lose my license. Here’s why. 🔥 Nurses who follow Jesus (or are curious), I’m hosting a Zoom call soon. Comment or DM “LIGHT” to get the details first. #foryoupage #ChristianNurse #NursesOfFaith #NursingEthics #NursesOutLoud by @nursesoutloud
👻 It is a haunted house… but you are a patient in a Level One Trauma Center after being beaten with a baseball bat and stabbed. Both tibias are fractured… with bone protruding through your skin. 🚨Meanwhile- your assigned nurse deliberately delays your pain medication because of your political ideology. 🩺 As a Registered Nurse and human being, I find this absolutely horrific. Deliberately delaying clinically appropriate pain relief as punishment would violate the ethical duty to provide compassionate, nondiscriminatory care. No patient should EVER endure deliberate suffering because a healthcare professional disagrees with their beliefs. 👇 What do you think should happen? Sound off in the comments. #SpiritualBattle #HauntedHouseButItsAHospital #PatientAdvocacy #DoNoHarm #NursingEthics by @nursesoutloud
🫶5 years ago today, my career was ruined. As Americans we are blessed to have religious freedom, and this should have never happened. Follow @thetorijensen and @declaretruth.usa for updates on our case against Kaiser. by @nursesoutloud
WHO DO YOU SERVE? Get clear on it. “What happened to you, Jodi? I trusted you on COVID, and now you’re talking crazy about Israel.” Nothing happened to me. I’m the same nurse who stood up when the hospitals went dark. I’m saying the same thing I said then: there’s a spirit at work, and you’d better learn to recognize it. Look around. The whole world is raging against Israel. That shouldn’t shock a single believer, because the Bible told us it would happen. Zechariah 12 says Jerusalem will become a burdensome stone for all people, and that the nations of the earth will gather against it. We’re watching it play out in real time. What you’re feeling right now is confusion, and 1 Corinthians 14:33 says God is not the author of confusion. I saw that same spirit in the hospitals. People who knew better went along with things they knew were wrong, because the crowd was going that way. If you have the Holy Spirit in you, you have discernment. 1 John 4:1 says to test the spirits. If you can’t see what’s going on, ask yourself honestly whether you’ve been swept up in it. So get clear. Open your Bible. Read Genesis 12:3: “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee.” Know how God feels about Israel and the Jewish people. Don’t take it from me, and don’t take it from your feed. And if you’re so fired up about standing against a corrupt government, start with your own. That’s where your vote, your voice, and your responsibility are. So I’ll ask you again: who do you serve? Get clear on it. #WhoDoYouServe #StandWithIsrael #Discernment #BibleProphecy #NursesOutLoud by @nursesoutloud
Know This Before You Go to the Hospital A travel nurse says he watched a colleague withhold pain medication from a Level 1 trauma patient because the patient was wearing a MAGA hat. He’s reporting her to the board. Let that sink in. A trauma patient in pain, punished for his politics. This didn’t start yesterday. During COVID, it became acceptable on our units to talk openly about patients’ politics and medical choices and to treat them differently because of it. It has only gotten worse. I believe there’s a spiritual battle in our hospitals. You can recognize it in the spirit of anger and contempt that drives this kind of “care.” Nurses: our Code of Ethics requires us to treat every patient with dignity, without prejudice. No exceptions for politics. Want to know what the Code actually says and how to stand on it? My ethics courses at Righteous RN are CNE-approved. Use code RN50 for 50% off the entire site. 🩺 “Education is one of the most powerful forms of patient advocacy.” @deplorablejanet Nurse Janet brings experience in nursing, medical education, and patient support to helping individuals understand their care, ask meaningful questions, and make informed decisions. Her message is clear: an informed patient is an empowered patient. ❣️Her advocacy is also deeply personal. Her experiences as a mother, sister, and healthcare professional have strengthened her commitment to informed consent, medical transparency, and ensuring patients and families feel heard. She understands how overwhelming healthcare decisions can become, and why compassionate guidance is so important. 📣 “Compassion without advocacy is not enough.” Nurse Janet believes a nurse’s responsibility includes protecting patients, defending their rights, and having the courage to speak up when something isn’t right. She has turned professional knowledge and personal loss into purpose by helping others find their voice when they need it most. #InformedConsent #NurseAdvocacy #DoNoHarm #PatientEmpowerment #MedicalTransparency by @nursesoutloud
🐊As a Registered Nurse who earned her BSN at the University of Florida - which is a major research institution where my nursing education strongly emphasized research- I understand why evidence matters. That’s exactly why I keep asking: if “more research is needed,” who’s stepping up to fund it? 🩺 I was taught to ask questions, examine evidence, and advocate for my patients. Apparently, I was supposed to stop asking when the conversation reached the profit margin. 🌴Florida has recently committed $60 million through its Cancer Innovation Fund, with generic drug repurposing—including ivermectin—among its research priorities. Why aren’t more states making this a visible priority? 🔬The research list I’m sharing includes: • Cedars-Sinai Medical Center — NCT05318469 • University of Florida — NCT07487805 • University of Miami — Shanta Dhar and colleagues • Tampa General Hospital — Ivan Borrello and colleagues • Florida International University — Diana Azzam and colleagues • Moffitt Cancer Center — Chang Jiang and colleagues 🔬Why aren’t there more active clinical trials investigating the potential of repurposed medications in cancer treatment? Where is the funding to move promising laboratory findings into rigorous human studies? Where is the coordinated effort to find out whether these medications can safely benefit patients? 🦗American Cancer Society, where is the push to fund these questions? 🧐Major cancer centers, who’s stepping forward to expand the research? Surely inexpensive treatment possibilities deserve the same enthusiasm as the next pharmaceutical launch. 🩺This is why I continue to advocate for serious consideration and research into @ilyes_baghli Dr. Ilyes Baghli’s Hybrid Orthomolecular Protocol for Cancer. Individuals deserve honest conversations about the potential of repurposed medications. 🙃 Apparently, “more research is needed” has become a remarkably comfortable place to end the conversation. Patients deserve to know what comes next. #RightToTry #FollowTheMoney #PatientsOverProfits #PatientAdvocacy #FundTheResearch by @nursesoutloud
This video is therapy for me and I hope it encourages those of you who endured the same thing. God is faithful and we can be thankful in all circumstances. Thank you Jesus! 💌 share this with someone who needs it!
