The sport changes. Some instincts stay.

“Why do you always look so stressed when you play?”

Probably the most common comment I’ve gotten throughout my 2 years of competitive pickleball.

But the truth is, I’ve heard it since my competitive tennis and rifle shooting days. I was always told, “You need to work on your mental game if you want to go far.”

The problem? I never really knew how.

This year, I found Motor & Minds, and they gave me the direction and clarity I needed — helping me understand what I feel under pressure and, most importantly, how to reset for the next point.

I’m still a work in progress, but for the first time, I feel like I’m learning how to train my mind, not just my game. 🫂

Driving the ball is easy. Driving the ball consistently is the hard part. 😮‍💨
